Looking for any science reportage worth reading in newspapers and magazines which aren't specifically science media is pointless. It's worse than pointless - often actively misleading rather than merely uninformative. It's a pity, but that's how it is.

(And I can also report that I drink far too much coffee, and my breasts are far from back-breaking. smiley - ok)

Yes, it's why I posted the link to Rich's journal.

T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly.

If a certain lady mentioned before, with regards to excessive breast tissue and iceland adverts, is getting Lithium intoxication then they need to take her off it, preferably immediately.

Speaking of drugs...
Caffine is so NOT my drug -- causing phantom pains, mental confusion and, worst of all, hand tremors and racing blood in my ears, that I began cutting back at age 16 and now avoid all but the tiniest amounts. (No decaf for me; has still too much. Must limit smiley - choc!smiley - wah)

However, I did drink coffee almost daily from age ten till teens, so maybe that is why I can slide under closed doors.smiley - winkeye
Alas, why didn't they tell me before it was too late; that !*()%*$ smiley - coffee has ruined my figure!

I can't manage on less than ten real, (not instant), strong coffees a day, so I guess I'm lucky that I seem to be of a different gender to you folks. I have no side effects whatsoever.

Wait a bit, and another study will come along. They always do.

I drink two or three coffees a day. I don't feel the effect of the caffeine, I just like the taste, but I probably would feel it if I stopped.

I wasn't allowed coffee when I was young, and I don't think I started drinking it till my early twenties, when I started guzzling it by the pot. I had normal-sized breasts back then, not these awful cumbersome things. I'm going back to swilling coffee.

But, like Bel, I can't do caffeine in the afternoon. If I have it much past 2pm, I can't get to sleep till the wee hours, and then I'm useless the next day. Which means more caffeine, and so the self-perpetuating cycle continues...
