With the meet looming, I dyed my hair today - and I didn't ruin the towel. Instead, I now have an interesting pattern on my back and my arms and shoulders - a bit like a weird tattoo, only cheaper and painfree and not quite the colour I'd have chosen for a tattoo.
Second side effect was that I lost tons of hair in the process - and I'm not talking about cutting the fringe here.
I guess if I did that once a week, I'd be bald within a couple of months at this rate.
On the other hand, what with the current hot weather it should be of sone advantage to have only about 50% of my hair left.

Oh, dear, Bel! You'd have been better off ruining a towel.
I hope no more of your hair falls out.

So do I, PC. I'm used to losing some hair when washing it, but today's amount was frighteningly high.

Yeah I usually lose a bit of hair when I wash it, or especially if I use conditioner. I use a dye called Naturtint and it causes about the same hair loss as washing.
Did you use the same product you normally use, or is it something different? Gosh, I hope it's not a reaction to the chemicals or anything.
Poor you. I hope it grows back quickly!

I used the same hair dye I've always used, so I can't really imagine it was that.

Thank you.
At least I don't look like an 'ashtray' any more, as my oldest son called me the other day when he looked down on my head.

You haven't seen me with partly hair, Pierce. It's not just my son complaining, my colleague's been telling me for weeks that I need to dye my hair.
I wouldn't have thought of tiger stipes, KB.

"my colleague's been telling me for weeks that I need to dye my hair."
Unless it's a particularly close colleague, I wouldn't stand for that - did you tell her how big her backside looks in those trousers she's so proud of?

No, she's in very good shape. All my colleagues are, bar one.
