You've got that right!
Pasta with eggs? That sounds kind of .
Around the house, I'll accept help gladly (though I occasionally wind up "fixing" things that aren't quite "right"), but at the office, I've got too much riding on things to accept help too often. Though it's useful to learn to "help" other people- aside from being helpful to them, it might be helpful to me should anyone leave and their position become available.

Carbonara?
Anyway, I misread the other post - I read it as pasta with eggs or beer!!
There's an idea - boil the pasta in beer, rather than water...
Hmmm....
Could be the next big thing!!

Well, the pasta I buy is made from wheat and water, nothing more. You can buy pasta which is made with eggs, but I can only accept that when making fresh pasta myself.
Pasta cooked in beer? I don't think I want to try that.

I suppose you could substitute beer for vodka... Prof would probably enjoy that! Would be good, unless some of the vapour hit the gas flame...
New kitchen, anyone?

The only thing I ever cooked with beer was battered vegetables. It's the only use for beer, anyway. Which reminds me I had a question to ask regarding how long wine will keep in the fridge- I opened a bottle last Monday to cook something and won't use it again till I cook another tomato-based sauce. I'm wondering how long it'll be till it turns to vinegar- should I just go ahead and pour it out now?
I've had egg noodles, but only in soup- the pasta I get is also made from wheat and water and nothing more. I think I misunderstood what you meant by pasta with egg. Boy, am I silly sometimes! I was picturing a mound of pasta with a big lump of scrambled egg on top. Kind of like Pad Thai but without all the seasonings and vegetables.
Hadn't thought of carbonara, perhaps because I dislike creamy sauces and would never eat anything that had bacon in it, so I'd blocked it out.

Ooh, too bad I'm so far away as to make shipping costs prohibitive- I'll be wanting a new kitchen as soon as I've found a nice condo to buy. The only local place is run by shysters, so I'll have to do it piecemeal.

I guess I just didn't express myself properly with the 'eggy' pasta, so no wonder you misunderstood.
