I am just doing the routine I usually do,but with a bit of added down time in between, walked all over the place this morning in really warm and steamy climate..

It's going to be non stop for us - as soon as we're finished at GB's, we're going straight from there to my parents' house on the other side of the country (that's about 125 miles, slightly less than "the other side of the country" is for you!!). Mum's still in hospital, so we're going over to help dad for a couple of days.
The Missus has done a load of cooking today, pies, stews and flans, for dad to freeze, to help out with meals after he's been visiting mum.
I've then got the fun task of teaching him how to use the new TV he's just bought... Oh joy! He still get's confused between the video remote and his cordless phone!

Well I hope you have patience to spare then...learning electronic thingies can be hard for ..a nice thing you've done though, helping him out with eats. I didn't know about your mum..hope she'll be okay and all!!!

Mum's been in and out of hospital for the past month. She had a replacement heart valve fitted, and a bypass done at the same time. The scar on her leg has become infected, she's also had bladder and bowel infections, her heart almost stopped several times (she was down to 6 beats per minute a couple of times), and she is also diabetic, and she's been unconscious a few times through that... why they keep sending her home before she is fit enough is beyond me... Dad is at the end of his tether, he can't cope, so all the family has been taking it in turns to go over and visit when we can.
As for the new remote...
Years ago when I lived at home, usually I would get a call from them every other night, can I come downstairs and help them set the video...
Then I went to university.
Every Friday I rang home. One evening I rang, and was asked "Why won't the video record?"
To cut a long story short - a *very* long story - I finally worked out the reason...
They hadn't put a tape in the machine!!

*chuckle*One good reason indeed.
I do hope that the medics make a good set of decisions this time..good luck.

It took me about 20 minutes on a long distance phone call to work it out! I suppose I should have started with something as fundamental as that!!
ANYWAY... I'm sorry to bug out on you like this, but I'm heading off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day - but should be good fun! I'll be on here intermittantly over the next few days, but I'm guessing there will be a report on the day in GB's journal!
See you around, mate! Take care!
