Anti - Wrinkles Magic ?
aka Bel - A87832164 Started conversation Nov 24, 2005
All my male friends who happen to read this may wonder what all this anti-wrinkles-fuss is all about. I guess it's the female equivalent to the guys' worries about getting bald
In the shop where I work, we sell lots of the anti wrinkles lotions and gels, the latest procuct promising 'immediate effect ' ! ( and 50 % less wrinkles after regular use for three weeks).
So ok, I thought it was about time I found out whether this is true, so in the interest of research for (wo)mankind ( after all, customers ask me if I can recommend the products I sell), I boldly applied it around one ! eye , then went and asked my colleague her opinion about this special gel.
She said it was good, so I challenged her to tell me where I had applicated it.
After a close look, she said :" Your right eye", which was correct
I asked if she didn't think that this part of my face looked macerated now, and she said: "No, not at all. It's great stuff, I use it every day."
That was the moment when I bit my tongue. I would maybe have bought it, if it hadn't been for her last sentence - saved me lots of money, as it is.
So, any tipps which don't include botox or surgery are more than welcome

Seriously. It shrinks piles, so it shrinks wrinkles. It's the worst best-kept secret in showbiz. (It was on Richard & Judy a while ago)
Not that you need such advice, B'Elana

And it's nice you say I don't need the advice

Awww,GB.you beat me to it!!!!I have heard that the cream you mention is extremely good, although the person who told me didn't admit to using it
I'm afraid nothing short of polyfilla would work for me claudia!!!
I'd love to know if the stuff for reducing cellulite works ,i've seen it advertised but i suppose nobody wants to admit using it!!!

Hi B'el.
You need a few wrinkles, look at people who don't have any.. Joan Rivers etc, they just don't look human. I'm sure it has more to do with diet, staying out of the sun, not smoking and drinking lots of water than expensive creams. I can say that now, ask me again in another 10 years then I'll hate them! I have really greasy skin which has meant spots since I was about 10 but I hope that means it won't dry out so much when I'm older
As long as they don't reccomend not drinking or !

sal, I do have all that anti cellulite stuff in my bathroom, but don't use it regularly, only when I have much time at hand,so I can't tell if it works.
chorlton, when I was your age, I didn't bother about wrinkles, but wait until you're my age
And they do recommend not to drink or , because they are dehydrating your body .

You have me thinking now claudia....my mother had lovely skin right up to when she died..i can't recall her ever having a spot or pimple, and she wasn't a great tea or coffee drinker.
My mum-in-law has really bad wrinkles, although she is 82,and she drinks tea all the time, and smokes.
I hate to admit it,but i'm much the same, and my "laugh lines" are looking more prominent round my mouth.Seems i should be on the look out for the anti-wrinkle cream next time i shop!!!

I have quite deep cut lines near my mouth and on my front, I guess all will be too late And I drink all day long, although I know I shouldn't do it, ot atleast drink a glass of water for every cup of I have - hey, that would have the effect that I'd be so full with water that I wouldn't have to eat anything But a rounder face has less wrinkles, so that would be contra productive
Aww, life sucks

You know, chorlton is absolutely right with what she said about the 'diet' and lifestyle - but I'm not sure if a few wrinkles are really worth having nearly no fun at all
I think that's why we are looking for some 'magic' which will reduce the wrinkles without us having to live healthy
I wish somebody had told me about the bad effect of sunbathing when I was young, though.

You're both wayyy too young to start getting wrinkles, and if you really do - all the better for me, eh ? I'd not look that old then in comparison So know, no top secret remedies for you until you're old enough

I'm 29 you kno! and a almost religious devotion to debauchery, drinking to excess and chain smoking has given me the skin of a 50 year old

That must be the answer then B'el, hang around with people with more wrinkles than you . Or stay in h2g2 where you can be anything you want to be!

2legs, you're just a bit pale, but I can't confirm the other things you stated about your skin just now.
chorlton, that's a great idea - but where do I find people who have more wrinkles than I have
And I don't think anybody here would believe me if I told them I was an absolutely beautiful, youthful - no, it wouldn't work, I've never been good at cheating

Its what I like to term my 'Jazz complection' ; hanging around in late night Jazz clubs where any light there might be is absorbed by the voluminious quantity of cigarette smoke in the air I have never relaly sun bathing person and I relaly don't go outside much during daylight hours cept to go buy more booze cigarettes or food... or go get the train to go off to London to go drinking... or have sex.... or such like
