I like to pop in on a few of the recent arrivals (like yourself), y'know just to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', offer you a or

Frrl free to click on my underlined nickname to visit my space, as I'm one of those "good folk", or like to think of myself as such. And actually on the "folk" note, heres a link to the site for our local Folk Music festival ( thats coming up in about 2 months): http://www.edmontonfolkfest.org (- an excuse to show a rather spectacular photo & site.)
Hope you settle in & get comfy, as this's a nice friendly place...look forward to a response eventually - not holding my breath, so no rush, luv . TTFN *waves*

Hi and thanks for saying hello!
First off, I share your chocolate appreciation tendencies, and am myelf dabbling with the world of dark these days - often in combination with orange. Mmmmmmm *drool*.
Curry......YES! Hot, mild, fruity, lamby, spinichy, I don't care, bring it on. Guess what I'm wanting for dinner now?
Congrats on living in Canada. I'm in Australia and from our point of view it often seems that Canada has got a lot of things very right. Most recent thing I saw about Canada was the Canadian bits of Bowling for Columbine which backed that view up beautifully. To its credit, Canada reminds me of New Zealand - beauty and backbone. Australia on the other hand seems, politically at least, to be too intrested in following the USA and I fear for our future because of it. Not the normal people, but somehow our leaders seem to think America is God. At the moment though Australia is still wonderful, may she stay that way.
Anyway, thanks for saying Hi and I hope to see you around the place.
Regards,
Wenna

Ah, good to get a prompt reply Wennakat! And good to know we've got a couple things in common! Oh, & thanks for speaking so highly of Canada...there tends to be a lot of grumbling (by Canadians), about government & various living conditions or facets of everyday life, but I tend to think we've got it reasonably good. As far as following the U.S., there was a fair bit of protest about our not backing the States & contributing troops to the recent conflict, but I think considering the stretched resources our Armed Forces are operating on & the various peace-keeping contingents we're operating, our Prime Minister made the right choice. And, by the way, I loved Bowling For Columbine...even though that bit about never locking the doors at night was somewhat erroneous!
On the topic of (one of my favorite topics!), chocolate & orange is a great combination...I've recently been enjoying another wonderful
pairing - with raspberry (not sure if you have alot of those "Down Under")...I most recently had some really terrific Raspberry Cream Cheese Brownies - I'm drooling just recalling it!
My younger brother had actually lived in Sydney for a couple years (so I'm quite aware of the time difference)... managed to get a job in the kitchen of the media center, during the Olympics! He's said repeatedly & I have to agree completely, that it really is a beautiful country...have seen great panoramic photos of The Outback & Ayer's Rock/Oluru, as well as various bits of coastal views (& the Great Barrier Reef), as well as Rain Forest & mountain scenery.
But its rapidly approaching 3am as I type...so yes, certainly hope to stay in touch - I have to admit I've got a distinct fondness for Aussies, I suppose mainly because I've liked pretty much every one that I've met
- honest! Will look forward to future...'contact', comments, whatever. Bye for now *waves*
Oh, lovely & unique name, don't think I've encountered that...I've heard 'Bronwynn'(sp?) & 'Rowena'...mine, by the way, is Darrell.
