Guess what it is.
Tacysa Posted Jun 25, 2004
Mmm, couscous, I really like couscous. With parmesan and basil and tomatoes. I like brown rice. Long-grained rice, preferably.
Carrot, dear, you have a day.
Guess what it is.

One day left for all of ye who have been so slack as to not enter. *nudgenudge*
***FYI- I have committed the unthinkable; I have blown up the power supply on my computer. I will be receiving my new one some time next week and will be posting from my brother's machine until further notice. I will probably be unreachable by instant messengers at my normal hours, but I will be happy to answer emails for all of you who cannot stand to be without my presence. Yeah, and I don't know how I did it. It just went kaput. All of the capacitors connected to the power-in/power-out plugs are toasted. The fuse is still good (the one thing I could successfully replace, of course) but the things that are virtually irreplacable aren't.
Guess what it is.

I have once done a similar thing to my old computers power supply, but instead of blowing it up very quickly it had to die slowly over several weeks, which I can say is much worse.
Guess what it is.

And you couldn't be bothered to put the poor thing out of its agony? You beast!
Of course, mine has a slight cold so what did I do but lock it up in a dark, crowded room for the summer while I go gadding about with everyone else's machines.
Guess what it is.
darakat - Now with pockets! Posted Jun 26, 2004
I had no real choice at the time, it was "put up with it, you will get a new one in 3 months"
Guess what it is.
Tacysa Posted Jun 26, 2004
And living without a personal computer or having to use someone else's when all of your crap is on yours is heartbreaking. The pain of not being able to save things is KILLING ME!!! I wish mine had have died a slow and painful death. Too bad the computer is only a few months old.
Guess what it is.

I prefer to be cold. Very cold. I have lived on and off in the Southern United States for my entire existence, and love it...but, after living in Alaska where you get SNOW, I want to be cold. Air conditioning is no match for sub-zero temperatures.
I would choose a pine tree. Which means all of you LOSE! LOSE, you hear!? But, I feel it necessary to have one winner a week, so I have another question. What did Stacy spend twenty minutes attempting to balance on her nose last night?
-Walking, feeding, washing, grooming, teaching, playing, and generally being with my dogs.
-Snuggling.
-Frolicking.
-Eating and cooking.
-Locking myself into a dark, cool, windowless room and playing music so loud it vibrates the floors that I will be lying on.
-Sleeping.
-Having decent conversation (preferably a mixture of silly, sappy, intelligent, and ponderable) with someone.
-Spending extensive time outdoors in places that have remained virtually (notice the virtually, because nothing is) untouched by the human hand.
-Buying, inspecting, repotting, watering, and floofing over orchids.
-Taking long, long, long, quiet walks with someone, preferably in the rain.
Guess what it is.

The answer to the question is a small squarish boxy thing.
I have always live here is Canberra, in two different houses. However living somewhere exceptionally cold, or exceptionally hot has always appealed to me since this place gets both, in the same month, one day after the other, I just really want to live somewhere that is definite about its tempriture, whatever it has.
Guess what it is.
Tacysa Posted Jun 26, 2004
I would like seasons, as well as cold. Too much to ask, I'm sure.
Guess what it is.

A big bouncy ball.
I like cold and seasons. The flip side is that I don't like it too hot. This probably comes from growing up in central NY, where this is very distictly the case, but it doesn't help me now that I've been bounced around the country. Including an offer to stay in Arizona for a while. Mmmm, 115 degree weather.
Guess what it is.
BouncyBitInTheMiddle Posted Jun 27, 2004
I guess...you tried to balance a small dog on your nose. Possibly a puppy. Probably not Sherman.
Guess what it is.
darakat - Now with pockets! Posted Jun 27, 2004
There are a lot of things it could be, but I had my guess.
Guess what it is.
Tacysa Posted Jun 27, 2004
Sherman sat on my head this morning trying to wake me up. There is nothing quite like having a dog who weighs close to your weight perched on top of your head.
Guess what it is.
darakat - Now with pockets! Posted Jun 27, 2004
I love the fact that Ada only weighs 25Kgs, it means she can jump on my head, and wake me up, but not crush my skull doing so.
Guess what it is.
Flying Betty- Now with added nickname tag! Posted Jun 28, 2004
Won't you have fun when she grows up, and still wants to play like that? I love getting woken up during thunderstorms when my dog goes spontaneously from the floor to the far side of my bed on top of me without seeming to climb or jump there.
Guess what it is.
Flying Betty- Now with added nickname tag! Posted Jun 29, 2004
Aww. I guess I still thought of her as puppyish. I guess you'll have to get her fat if you want skull crushing dog jumps.
