How exactly does this work? Does it only get sent to you or can anyone read it? Do you get notified of it or what???

the emoticons are cool arent they!!!! Ok- seeing as im still not reali skilled at all this i'll try. The emoticons are on the smile page - use this link - A155909. Just put in the doe, ie < cat> (without the spaces) and out comes . very simple. after a while you can rememebr the codes or work them out.

Ok - from what i can gather, anyone can read these postings. They visit your space and can look at your recent conversations, and add into them. You dont get notified by email or anything, but the conversations are put in chronological order in your personal space so you can see that you've had recent postings.

You have a journal where you write stuff which will go to anyone who has you on their friends list, and so they can respond to it. Also, you ca add perope to your friends list so that you can be updated on their news, and also other people can link to their personal spaces so see what your friends are like. I think that made sense. Anyway, anything else i can do too help, drop me a line. Or just say hello anyway, coz its be cool to get to know you.

You should feel liked! H2G2 is a friendly plaec and everyone is really nice to everyone. So make yourself at home. Ahah Boarding school... can i be nosy? which one? where? how old are you (was that on your personal space? might have been, inwhich case hmmm sorri) How did I find you? There's lots of ways to find people... clicking on the who's onlione button at the side shows you who is on then and you can visit their space, or alternatively, each article has a link to the author's personal space in the RH column. I found you on the new users page so i dropped a note to say hey.

If you want to see articles people have written, you can link from people's personal spaces, where they are all linked. I've not got any entries in the editied guide, but iv got some thoughts on life, poems, and a serious article about self harm, though dont let that scare you away from me. I found it was a good way to address my problem so i did it. Meanwhile, tell me about you. I hope we'll be friends!

Ok then... I go to school in Leeds. Its an all girls school and the uniform is bottle green tartan (yeuch). Im 17 - going on 23 (by your calculation). I live 20 miles outside of leeds in a lil place called ilkley. Its full of old people with no life, but its pleasant enough. However, im an honorary northerner, coz actually i was born in kent and i have a posh accent too. Strictly speaking im half dutch as well. I have a 17 yr old called kelly who is older than me but wonderful. Currently im taking 5 ASlevels - Human Biology, Chem, Physics, Maths and General Studies. I want to go to uni to do biology or genetics - in birming ham, norwich, sheiffield or london. And i think you sound vvvvvvvv clever. What do u think you'll be doing next year? hmmmmmmmmm...... im an advanced cellist, im a pagan (please dont take that the wrong way) and im in a 7 month relationship with a guy i dont love. hohum... urself? x

Erm...my school is also all-girls but theres like four schools in Bedford that all come under the same charity (the Harpur Trust). Theres Bedford School (boys), Bedford High (girls, my one), Bedford Modern(boys) and Dame Alice Harpur (girls). Dame Alice, Bedford High, and Bedford all do CCF together. Did you get all that?

Girl is called Sarah. Shes 18 and ive been with her for...11months.

I'm amazed... we seem like we've been through similar stuff. I'll tell you mine from the beginning. When I was 7, my brother fingered me and stuff. I dint really understand that, so I wasnt scared by it. Then i became friends with Ben. He used to hit me alot. On his 16th birthday, he asked a friend of his to rape me so I would go to him for comfort and he would get to sleep with me coz id feel shit. It didnt work. He stabbed me in the chest, poured boiling oil over me, tried to drown me and alot of other things. I was too 'in love' with him to realise he was destroying who I was. A mutual friend got married, and at the recepton, ben raped me twice. Kicked me til I bleed and left. 9 weeks later I had to have an abortion, which went wrong so now they dont know if i can have kids. He went to prison, but he's due out this september... I hopethis hasnt made you not want to talk to me. I really want us to be friends....

As a consequence of Sarah dumping me, i yelled at my parents and whilst on the telephone to a mate, went outside to walk up and down throwing keys.
I now am VERY restricted on the net, and have to "show i can contribute to a civilised family".....its fun eh?

I have a plan of action for sarah....it's always nice to do these thigns when you get chucked.
I reckon she's sort of.....cracked under exams (hence the feelings of being a failure, "everyone thinks I'm inadequate" etc etc) so im going to be VERY VERY quiet through exams...then the last week...im going to arrange with her mum to turn up late sunday morning and just appear in her room.
a) she'll have only one exam left
b) she's vulnerable when sleepy
c) i'm brilliant!!!
