Well...
put it like this... it wasn't nailed down anywhere....
and it didn't have anyone's name written on its label......
And it DID follow me home!
Honest.

I'll believe you!!
Car stuff was ruddy hard work! 2 days incredibly hot - next day incredibly wet and the last
(Saturday) back to normal - I worked out I did 66 hours work last week - with another 57 to do this week!
Anyway hopefully it'll help with the bank balance eh!

Depending on your wage and how much Mr Brown takes from you, sounds like it'll over balance to the black pretty soon.
Its a shame a mum doesn't get minimum wage; as I do 24/7 (with time off for good behaviour) I'd be wealthy beyond the dreams of Creasote by now....
Do you realise Liam's 18 in another couple of weeks? I can't believe it myself.
Whats even worse, even on a good nag I only come up to his shoulders now - it ruins the mam cred

I know.
And Tom will be 18 next October (2006)!
And after that, I've done my job as a mum and can get on with being a Me again.
Which, with the best will in the world, sounds pretty good to me!
(Maybe after they've both hit 18 I can stop myself getting bloody labour pains the night before their respective birthdays.. you'd have thought the body would have got the hang of it by now, wouldn't you?)

Foot hovering over their collective buttocks as we speak... trust me!
I left home at 17... I don't see why they can't! (Well, actually, I do... but thats not the point.)
Did I mention Liam has got a new job? He had his trial run on Friday, and he's been hired full time now. Wages rising after one month if he can go the distnace. I'm so proud of him - and pleased. He's been hunting for a job for ages.

He did a year's Carpentry course at Canterbury College - he was aiming for construction work rather than specialised carpentry - but as there were no decent vacancies in that, he found a job with a firm of Landscape Gardeners... as well as lots of lifting and digging and shifting, there's scope for shuttering, and decking and that sort of thing, so its within the range he wanted to do.
And ALSO... he's going to get a tan to kill for this summer - without effort, lucky little beast!

I'm pretty proud of him... he's a good kid - even if his "beard" is slightly annoying to look at.
(And then I think of what was fashionable when I was his age......
...and the colour I have in my hair now... and think, who am I to critisise?
(Doesn't stop me though!)

If thats the case, I can safely say my life has not been in vain after all.....
And believe me, L & T have a fairly high embarrasment threshold...
