Your initial enthusiasm reminds me of that of another Californian friend of mine. I btw, am up in Canada, but have made friends here from; Estonia, Sweden, The Netherlands, etc. Of course that includes Americans from: Denver, Memphis, & California.

Anyway, since I'm still relatively new here myself (having registered in Sept. of this past year), so I like to pop in on a few of the recent arrivals. You know, just to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', maybe offer you a or iced & some ...possibly *digs in his knapsack*...some ? You can use those symbols/icons(& many more), by just typing smileys into the search window..., that'll take you to a long list of them with easy instructions for creating each. And you can refer back to the list at any time, unless of course you print it out, or have a photographic memory .

Something you might want to do, is make up a nickname to replace your assigned number, just click on 'Preferences' in the lefthand margin. That'll allow you to modify it periodically, or change it completely if you should need to.

I have a busy week planned. I'm going to see a college production of Hamlet on Friday, I'm excited about that. And Saturday I'm going down to Mississippi to see a pottery showroom.

Anyway, like Neugan said, there's going to be a meet in Gilroy late this July. If you're interested, the info's at A813061 And there's no problem with saying what city you're in (assuming you feel comfortable doing so, of course!) but I wouldn't suggest putting your address and phone nuber on here--email's much better for things like that You can post your email address if you want, but I'd suggest spelling it out so that the spam robot thingies don't snag it...
