I'm still a bit new here myself. I'll have get over that, I mean one can't be new forever, can one? In any case, it's been less than a year since I registered, so that still qualifies as relatively new, right?
Just thought I'd pop in on a few of the recent arrivals, you know, to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', offer you a or & some ...possibly *rummages in his knapsack, for the zip-loc bag* ah yes, some ?
Feel free to click on my underlined nickname above this message, to visit my space if you like. I've really become quite fond of the place over the last few months, & certainly hope you will too. Let me know if you're having any problems with the site. I'm not an expert by any means, but I have made some friends who'd be glad to lend a hand (& I'm sure, would be glad to meet you.)
thanks

I'm doing fine, kind of an unusually early morning for me. I'm quite some distance away, over in Canada - so, a 7 hour time difference (earlier). But if it'll help, I can pass along your 'address' (on h2g2 - its called your User Number), & connect you with some people in your area, or at least much, much closer than I am, alright.
Yes, this can be a big, rather intimidating place at first, hopefully I can put you in touch with a few people that can help you out a bit, ok luv.
thanks

Did you want my 'mental age' or my 'chronological age'? Ah, the years catch up with us all eventually...let's leave it at over 40.
And Z, I was sure someone would come-a-runnin'! I'll do my best to mention you to a few UK mates I've made here, surreygirl, ok. It's also kind of nice getting to know a few people from abroad though, so I'll mention you to some other folks as well, if thats ok.
hi

There's loads of places on here where you can chat to other people! to find out which are the busiest conversations go to the front page, (you get there by clicking on the h2g2 logo in the corner.) and there's a list of the busiest. If you have a look round and click on links.. you'll find out a lot.
If you go to people's names you can findout a lot about them and where they're talking.
If you think h2g2 as a virtual town your personal space is your house, and if you stay in your house you won't get talking to people but if yougo out then you'll meet lots of people.
There are lots of ways to go out.. there are lots of virtual clubs and societies!
As well as the LDer who are all digibox users, well most of them there are plenty of others..
There's a full ish list here..--> A630019
See you soon!!!

charliebaby Posted Apr 14, 2003
hey there
Thought idpop in on you and say hi. Youll find H2g2 an interesting place. its not really like a chat room but more of a place to leave ideas, make friends and see what the world's about!
If you want to speak to any of the ACE's i can put you in touch, if you want any help with the site. or just ask any of us!
hiya

You appear to be new here so I thought I'd mention a couple of things.
If you see a pair of eyes next to someones name it means they are now on line. Also there is a box named whos online you can click to popup and show who is logged on to h2g2. Even if they are off line you can still respond to them and it works like a message board. For more info look for an ace or a guru. Everybody tries real hard to be helpful here. Have fun.
