I've been thinking about using this space to keep in touch with people about the general tenor of my quiet life, though not to replace individual contact. Just sometimes, when one is busy or under pressure, it might be nice to have a place to which one could refer friends to a thumbnail sketch of what's been going on for a speedy catch-up.
My main concerns are about the privacy of the people I might write about, especially my family who figure large in my daily life. I have become much more circumspect since my early message board days.
h2g2 is a little scary in that it seems impossible to delete anything permanently. While obviously the thing is to engage brain before putting keyboard into gear, occasionally one may let slip more than one intended.
I wonder how other diarists, bloggers and journal writers here deal with this aspect of h2g2.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
