I failed at calculus twice in college. (I guess that means I did get up to that level successfully though.) Yet I really want to further my knowledge of such mathematical concepts such as non-Euclidean geometry, Fractals, and Chaos theory which depend so much on concepts from Calculus.

I am disappointed over this but I still must live my life (yeah I know it is hard to believe but as interesting as these concepts are they are not my life.) I have grown to accept that I will probably never truly understand them. Even so, I can enjoy the fractal art that so gloriously dedeck my rooms.

Lastly, the concept of Catastrophe theory is another group of concepts that seems to determine much of the way reality works. Ultimately the question of whether or not the universe is closed or open is an issue that speaks to these concepts. Chaos theory tends to suggest that the univere is closed and strictly determined which destroy any concept of freewill!

Your comments on my entry concerning infinity provoked this probing of your mind. Forgive me if this doesn't make any sense or you're just not interested.

I work on the graveyard shift and I must stay awake somehow.
