Hurrah! My gender recignition skills are beyond repute.

(1) Indeed. You didn't appear to post while I was offline so I can only assume that you come into existance when I am online. 'Come out of me' so to speak

(2) It has such a poot memory that it can't remember how to spell words like poot.

(3) Its because lists are reassuring. This conversation appears random and pointless, but because it's in list form it also appears organised and therefore worthwhile, reassuring us that there is meaning to our lives

(4) All good. I'm mostly fixed up, doing well at uni and at work, and was even spotted engaging in physical excersise last week!

lol - I didn't realise just how bad the type-os were in the last post. Hows you then?

The surgery half of my year off was not fun, but this second half is much more fun. Technically I'm working, but I only put in 10 hours per week or so 'cause I really don't need more than £100/week to live on.

I got marked down from an A to a C at GCSE IT for being too origional. The mark scheme was a copy of the 'ideal solution' and the further your solution deviated from it the more marks you lost. My teacher took me aside and told me that I'd submitted a decent A level project well above the standard expected for GCSE but he had to give me a C because he had to stick to the mark scheme and mine was very different from the ideal solution. He even admitted it was better.

I'm not bitter.

In most subjects its not an issue though - orgionality is worth a lot in most subjects, it's just that subject. Grrr.

It was at the time. Now I'm not so bothered. Once you've got Alevels employers and unis only want to know how many GCSE A-C grades you got. Whether they're As or Cs doesn't matter too much.

Post 19

Keseral - lost...

yes, thats true! its a bit weired because someone who got loads of C's might not be as clever as someone who got a few A's!smiley - laugh

Aye, but someone with straight Cs probably wouldn't get the alevels they need to apply for posts which don't care about your GCSEs

So in a roundabout way the system works.
