Any smiley - choc pastries to go with my smiley - coffee? Oooh, smiley - ta those look lovely!! smiley - winkeye (couldn't resist, mate!)

I'm still a bit new here myself & just thought I'd pop in on a few of the recent arrivals. You know, say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', all that...maybe offer you a smiley - cappuccino or a smiley - tea & some smiley - cheesecake.

Feel free to drop by my space, you'll notice I do a bit of cooking, well I guess without the formal training it's pretty much dabbling - no matter how passable the results are? I never went into it as a career, unlike my brother, who was fortunate enough to get on at The Ritz-Carlton in Sydney when he was Down Under.

Hope you enjoy the place, I've become quite fond of it. It can be slow going at first, but it's a great place! Be seeing you around, so to speak...ttfn *waves*

Hi, Jazzedupcurry.

Have a smiley - donut.

Dark Chocolate..........

Oh sorry, did I drift off there? So rich, and dark... And so useful to my role as a professional bad influence.

First of all you get them coming to you for milk chocolate, and then you start to slip them the real thing.

I've even heard of a curry with chocolate, that I'll have to try some time. There's this San Francisco curry, that uses cocoa powder, and spaghetti.

Do persevere with the milder curries, by the way. Enjoyable as the spike of the chilli is, it can sometimes mask a very enjoyable richness.

Phil.

Good to get a reply, sorry I'm just responding now (been a bit preoccupied with the 'war drums' thing smiley - erm, then I had some laundry to do.)

Interesting, a curry with smiley - choc! I'd heard, of course, of Mexican Mole sauce, & even a chili recipe that used chocolate. The spaghetti is a pretty logical cross-cultural/fusion thing...then again, I suppose the smiley - choc is too, hmm?

Yes, I've had some nice results with fruit-type curries - sometimes using cloves and/or a cinnamon stick, left to steam awhile. Particularly one made using a mango-tangerine juice blend. Also a few different juice blends containing banana, which of course really tames the chili's bite!
