The Festival was good fun if a little muddy!!! It is the 26th Peterborough CAMRA Beer Festival and it is alway on this week on the run up to the Bank Holiday. Depending on who you ask you may be told it's the largest beer festival in the UK but I think the Great British one in London is bigger.
I did used to make my own bread but then it got to be a bit too much hassle with the hours of my last job and I got out of the habit!
Today is my last day of work for just over a week - Yay! I am about ready for a break . Am off to Devon and gonna fight some Royalists while I am there.
I wish you all the in the world for your exam next week - but you won't need it I am sure!
Until September...

Boom boom boom! Oh what a wonderful battle. I had such fun and shot many Royalists but as usual neglected the sight seeing and photo taking as a result of getting so caught up in the adrenaline of it all! Big fire! Fire great!!!
So how did the exams go?

I passed what a relief it was to see the words PASS and only another 5 to go !
Am glad you had fun with your gun and killed loads of Royalists in battle, big fire
When is the next one ?

CONGRATULATIONS! I am so pleased for you but I knew you would pass!
I will not be fighting any more Royalists until next year now . It gets too cold for camping - we are fair weather fighters!!! Although that is not strictly true with the rain etc!!!
What a busy day I have had. I am currently sitting here with my legs cross as I want a wee but there is no one to cover the phones!!!

No more guns until next year what will you do for fun until then? can you clay pigeon shoot...
Thanks for the congrats
Today was really hot and busy ,but alas freedom is an elusive privilege that only the wealthy can afford*sigh* it doesn't do any harm to dream though
Hope you didn't have to cross your legs long before someone relieved you couldn't resist the pun.

I have only tried to clay pigeon shoot once but as it was with a very unreliable musket I didn't hit a thing... in fact I am sure the clay had vanished from the sky, bounced several times and been retrieved for another go by the time the gun decided to go off!!!!
I am hoping there will be some social events over the winter and there is a Re-enactors Market in October, which I plan to spend a fortune at!!
I would love to be a lady of leisure and am sure I would find pleanty to do and probably would still not have enough hours in the day!!!!
I out of here at 6pm, fell over a couple of other people who were trying to leave the building, scattered my shopping across the floor of the ladies but the resulting 'relief' was !!!

So there is room for improvement in your clay pigeon shooting then
The Re-enactors market sounds fun,all those lovely dressing up clothes
A lady of leisure nice dream eh,time to do all those things we never have time to doMy things I would to do list gets bigger all the time*must add be a lady of leisure to it*
Am glad you were relieved in the end
What are you doing at the weekend?

So what comes top of your 'things you would to do' list?
It's going to be a quiet weekend. We are going to the garden centre to get some plants to surround the newly repaired pond.
I am meeting with an old work collegue for and on Saturday.
On Sunday we are going to my dads for a Family tea for my 'aged' aunts 85th Birthday .
How about you? I bet it's a relief to have your time back for a while - how long 'til your next exam?

Top of my things to do list Johnny Depp
No at the moment it would be finish and pass my course and after that I would to go back and visit Paris again and Italy but in reality am having double glazing and a new kitchen fitted next year hopefully(if I stay out of shoe shops and refrain from indulgent retail binges, maybe 2007 for the kitchen)
What is top of your list then(you can't have Johnny am afraid)
Your weekend sounds nice, friends ,family,,and's enjoy it.
My next exam will depend on how quickly I study the next module and when my tutor says 'Go for it'

I have always has bizarre taste in men. I'd like to 'do' James Masters otherwise known as Spike from Buffy or I could be lead astray by Richard Dean Anderson mmmmmm . I like this line of thought !!
Travel wise I would like to visit Rome, Machu Picchu in Peru and spend a fortnight in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere in Canada.
I had a new kitchen fitted last year but my biggest wish for this year is ripping out the tacky 70's gas fire and re-instating some real flame to our second reception room. Just need to find out where to start with that one!!!!
But most importantly the VERY TOP of my list is sobriety, occassionally interupted by a night out of fun and . I would like my life to revolve around a strong and healthy marriage instead of someone elses alchol problem!!!
Ooooh that was a bit serious! I hope you have a fantastic weekend whatever you are doing... until Monday

what attracts us to certain men? they say women fall in but men in lust.Am not sure that is true of all men or all women.Think you need lust and for a successful relationship.
Rome and Peru and Canada sounds great.
Home usually takes priority in the money area before travel, but the logic being that eventually the house will be done to my liking and the money will be for other fun things
I have never really needed alcohol to have fun ,and it takes very little alcohol to make me merry.I like to be in control of my mind and body.I like an evening of good food and a couple of glasses wine followed by copious amounts of conversation and laughter the best kind.Hope you get your wish for a healthy strong marriage

Although I have drunk heavily at some times in my life I have always been capable of having fun without and really enjoy watching others who are drunk (as long as they are happy drunks!) Like you, I find alcohol is a nice accompaniment to good company and conversation but is not necessary and can be a hinderance. I actually used to use alcohol as a way of ignoring the issues and blotting things out than a way of having fun ... but I am please to report that the person I was then is long gone and will not be back!
How was your weekend?

xxxxxxxxxxxx Posted Sep 12, 2005
My weekend was too quick
Caught up with friends ,idled in the garden too long in between jobs that needed doing. So nothing exciting or unusual there
It was a beautiful day today *sigh* the worst kind when you have to work
Ignoring and blocking out issues,I did some of that in my youth now I prefer to tackle issues head on ,it is the simplest way in the long run
yoga class tonight

I wrote a reply yesterday and I am pretty sure I posted it but today it has vanished like an old oak table...!
I hope you had a really good weekend what did you get up to? I went to Brixton Academy in London to see the Offspring on Saturday night and I am still trying to recover!!! It's not fair that I don't bounce back like I did when I was 18!!!!

dancing all night takes its toll the next day but I still enjoy it although sadly don't do it as often as I did at 18
My weekend was a bit quiet really ,caught up with friends and did very little else.It was nice just to relax for a change instead of racing around doing ten things at once as I usually do
My friend has decided to move in with her nice boyfriend and forget the badboy boyfriend.I feel it will be easier said than done, and she came to the decision for all the wrong reasons. She loves him but is not in with him, think it is doomed from the start, but will be there for her whatever happens.

I don't like this being too busy to write situation
I feel really stressed right now but am dealing with it all better than ever before!!
Hope your friend has made the right choice but from what you have said I agree with your assessment. Maybe she would be better off without either of them but only she can make that decision. At least you are being a good friend and you are there for her whatever happens

I am glad you are coping better with the stress but take care it can all get a little much if it is prolonged.Hope things at work get a little less chaotic for you
Try and give yourself a little time to yourself until next time
