The smiley - ale Festival was good fun if a little muddy!!! It is the 26th Peterborough CAMRA Beer Festival and it is alway on this week on the run up to the Bank Holiday. Depending on who you ask you may be told it's the largest beer festival in the UK but I think the Great British one in London is bigger. smiley - biggrin

I did used to make my own bread smiley - smiley but then it got to be a bit too much hassle with the hours of my last job and I got out of the habit!

Today is my last day of work for just over a week - Yay! smiley - biggrin I am about ready for a break smiley - yawnsmiley - sleepy. Am off to Devon and gonna fight some Royalists while I am there.

I wish you all the smiley - goodluck in the world for your smiley - book exam next week - but you won't need it I am sure!

Until September...

I have only tried to clay pigeon shoot once but as it was with a very unreliable musket I didn't hit a thingsmiley - biggrin... in fact I am sure the clay had vanished from the sky, bounced several times and been retrieved for another go by the time the gun decided to go off!!!! smiley - laugh

I am hoping there will be some social events smiley - alesmiley - redwinesmiley - stiffdrink over the winter and there is a Re-enactors Market in October, which I plan to spend a fortune atsmiley - smiley!!

I would love to be a lady of leisure smiley - sleepy and am sure I would find pleanty to do and probably would still not have enough hours in the day!!!!

I smiley - run out of here at 6pm, fell over a couple of other people who were trying to leave the building, scattered my shopping across the floor of the ladies but the resulting 'relief' was smiley - magic!!!

I have always has bizarre taste in mensmiley - erm. I'd like to 'do' James Masters smiley - bat otherwise known as Spike smiley - vampire from Buffy or I could be lead astray by Richard Dean Anderson smiley - whistle mmmmmm smiley - drool. I like this line of thought smiley - devil!!

Travel wise I would like to visit Rome, Machu Picchu in Peru and spend a fortnight in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere in Canada.

I had a new kitchen fitted last year but my biggest wish for this year is ripping out the tacky 70's gas fire and re-instating some real flame smiley - biggrin to our second reception room. Just need to find out where to start with that one!!!!

But most importantly the VERY TOP of my list is sobriety, occassionally interupted by a night out of fun and smiley - ale. I would like my life to revolve around a strong and healthy marriage instead of someone elses alchol problem!!!

Ooooh smiley - yikes that was a bit serious! I hope you have a fantastic weekend whatever you are doing... until Monday

smiley - laugh what attracts us to certain men? they say women fall in smiley - love but men in lust.Am not sure that is true of all men or all women.Think you need lust and smiley - love for a successful relationship.

Romesmiley - magic and Peru and Canada smiley - wow sounds great.

Home usually takes priority in the money area before travel, but the logic being that eventually the house will be done to my liking and the money will be for other fun thingssmiley - smiley

I have never really needed alcohol to have fun ,and it takes very little alcohol to make me merry.I like to be in control of my mind and body.I like an evening of good food and a couple of glasses wine followed by copious amounts of conversation and laughter the best kind.Hope you get your wish for a healthy strong marriagesmiley - smiley

Although I have drunk heavily at some times in my life I have always been capable of having fun without and really enjoy watching others who are drunk (as long as they are happy drunks!) Like you, I find alcohol is a nice accompaniment to good company and conversation but is not necessary and can be a hinderance. I actually used to use alcohol as a way of ignoring the issues and blotting things out than a way of having fun ... but I am please to report that the person I was then is long gone and will not be back! smiley - biggrin

How was your weekend?

smiley - laugh dancing all night takes its toll the next day but I still enjoy it although sadly don't do it as often as I did at 18 smiley - biggrin
My weekend was a bit quiet really ,caught up with friends and did very little else.It was nice just to relax for a change instead of racing around doing ten things at once as I usually dosmiley - weirdsmiley - monster
My friend has decided to move in with her nice boyfriend and forget the badboy boyfriend.I feel it will be easier said than done, and she came to the decision for all the wrong reasons. She loves him but is not in smiley - love with him, think it is doomed from the start, but will be there for her whatever happens.

I don't like this being too busy to write situation smiley - sadface

I feel really stressed right now but am dealing with it all better than ever before!!

Hope your friend has made the right choice but from what you have said I agree with your assessment. Maybe she would be better off without either of them but only she can make that decision. At least you are being a good friend and you are there for her whatever happens
