Yes my hubby is definately a Leo(How about the 'Glorious 12th' for a coincidence!!!)... and I am a passionate Scorpio... fire and water have never been known to mix harmoniously, but I do like a challenge!!! Are you interested in astrology at all? Are you a January or February baby? I am fascinated by the whole supernaturalphenomenon/astrological thing but am never really sure how far to buy into it. I like to keep an open mind. I have been known to cast the odd spellbut put the successes I have had down to the power of positive thought more than anything!
I wondered if the 'amethyst' had any relevance. My birthstone is Topaz which is aparently the antidote to the 21st Century!! I have a ton of it as hubby buys me matching jewellery but I can't say it has done much for me!!!
I very much like birthdays and have been getting loads of stuff storted for Friday. Not that he will appreciate it... but I am having fun. What are you getting your boyfriend for his birthday? Apart from of course! I am currently trying to keep a fairly large grape vine alive but well hidden! Wish me luck - he usually manages to 'stumble across' whatever I buy him!!!

I like Scorpio's ,three of my friends are scorpioand have kind hearts.I am interested in astrology,my friend has had her chart done, and it was really accurate.I too am fascinated by the supernatural more mystical side of life.I keep an opened mind on most things although I have never been to a seance or spiritual meeting. When my father died ,a couple of days later I was doing the washing up and I just burst out crying, sobbing with the grief,no-one else was in the house and I just let the emotions I had been suppressing out.All of a sudden I felt an intense hot feeling or sensation on my shoulder,I cannot describe it but it made me stop crying I am sure it was my fathers spirit.I have never experienced anything like it before or since
I was a February baby and there are three generations of women in my family that share my birthday!!
Am giving him a lot of little parcels ,things he wants(DIY gadgets with plugs and things he needs and some just for fun ( a lime tree)things with the vine

Well I am glad you like scorpio's, my best friend at school was an aquarian so I like Aquarians too . Although I don't actually share my birthday with anyone in my family I am the third generation of Scorpio women! I suspect my Great Great Grandmother was a scorpio as well as she was a very strong matriach and ruled over her 7 sons with an iron rod!!
I have experienced a number of unexplainable episodes in my life. About 6 months after my mum died I had a dream that went from the usual kind of muddle to sudden clarity and my mum was there. I even had a conversation with her and asked if it was real. She told me not to be so silly, of course it wasn't real but she had come to say goodbye. I asked how long we had and that was when I woke up.
A couple of years later I was talking to a friend about a double string of fake pearls I had found in my mums jewellrey box that I took to wear at re-enactments. She then said she had a message that was given to her at her spiritualist church, the message made no sense to her and she had dismissed it. It was a woman holding out a double string of pearls saying "don't take life so seriously" - and that did make perfect sense to me.
About a year ago a friend of mine told me she was psychic and my mother was in the room and she had a message which was that my mum was sorry for what she wrote... I will tell you what that was tomorrow as I have to go for a counselling session now!
Sorry to dash off mid sentence!!!
Since then I have had a message from a friend who attends a

am glad someone else has unexplainable episodes in their life too,I firmly believe that it was my Father's spirit and like your experience am convinced it was a goodbye.
My sister in-law attends spiritualist church meetings and have been told a few things by her that make you wonder. She told me when me that when you dream of a dead loved one that they are visiting you in your dreams.
Your Great Great Grandmother sounded like a very strong independent lady
Hope your conselling session went well until next time take care

Counselling went great
As I was saying before I rudely dashed off!!! My mums message about being sorry for what she wrote was in relation to her diary. For years she wrote a page a day and told us that we could do what we wanted with them after she was gone. I decided to read some and regretted the decision. I found numerous entries commenting on her negative feelings surrounding me and the things I said and did, but numerous positive entries concerning my brother. I didn't read a lot because I didn't like what I found but I did end up flicking through years of writings desperately trying to find something (anything) even vaguely relating to negativity about my brother... all with no success.
The one comment that really stuck was when I had told my mum about a time when I was having a bad day and really letting things get to me. All at once a feeling of calm came over me and I could smell my grandmothers perfume. I told my mum I felt like Gran was there supporting me. At the time she made all the right comments but she wrote in her diary that I talked so much rubbish sometimes and she wondered what was wrong with me!!! I like to think the message was her apologising because now she knows my gran really was there with me that day (and has been on numerous occassions since)
Anyway, I will shut up now. Had to write a lot to make up for the fact I will not on line again until Monday. I am having the day off to spend time with the Birthday Boy.
Hope you enjoy giving all you lovingly selected gadgets and things to your boyfriend and eat much and drink many - I seem to have got away with hiding the vine - yay!!
Until next week ...

Hope you really enjoyed the weekend birthday festivities !!! Hope your boyfriend loved all the gadgets!
We had a quite weekend at home (having decided not to get wet a miserable camping at a re-enactment). He his vine! We did go out for a Comedy meal on Saturday night. It was supposed to be a romantic meal but...
The restaurant was too dark; there was a kid in a high chair at the table next to us who spend the entire time throwing toy cars as far as he could; there was a dodgy old Italian 'geezer' in the corner playing dodgy Italian songs incredibly loudly - we had to shout over him! I suppose it was a bonus that while he was playing he was drowning out the noise of the kid! Hubby had a sirloin steak that should have been medium to well done... it was charcoal on the outside and red on the inside!! The chips were the ones you don't mind eating at 2am from the local burger stand after you have had so much of a skinfull you could be eating paper for all you know, but not what you really want as part of a £12 main course! at least it has given us a memory to cherish!!!!
Wen't blackberrying and picked 30lbs of the things - mmm what to do with blackberries. Wine, Jam and possibly pies... will have to see how the mood takes me!!!

Oh am sorry you had a meal from hell ,if it is any consolation on my boyfriends birthay last year we must have been to the same restaurantsuch is life eh still there is always next year
We had a fun time ,went to a Blues club first before the party and it all went well. Was a little dehydrated the next day though
Blackberrying is joy ,I to make jam also you can freeze them, but you have to do them on trays so they don't stick to each other and then put them in bags when they are already frozen is quite a lot of work.Blackberry and apple conserve on fresh scones is worth the jam making effort

Muddling Through Posted Aug 17, 2005
At least you only have two weeks to go then it will all be over and you can relax !
I will look forward to the Jam recipies when you have the time
We had a nice day here yesterday but the air con is so cold I wear a fleece most of the time. Thunder storms are great and my favourite form of weather. Do you find the electricity in the air gives you more energy ? I do - but perhaps it is psychological!!! During Thunder storms I have been known to run round fields during (and indeed gardens) wearing little more than a pair of boots!!

well two weeks and I will only have another 5 exams left before am qualified and another years study why do I do things like this to myself
Still my tutor is confident ,I am just a little anxious*laughs hysterically*
I thunderstorms and find I am like my friends siamese and become hyperactive with the charge in the air
I can tell you to to be at one with nature(sadly my boyfriend has banned me from running round the garden wearing only a pair of boots)

You do thing like taking exams because you can and you know how much better life will be doing something you want and making a difference! You know you are only suffering last minute nerves and should share your tutors confidence
Why won't your boyfriend let you run naked?!! My hubby joins me ... in fact Thunder storm streaking is an activity we already had in common when we met!
I also love the which is rather
We had new potato's fresh from the garden last night and they were so tasty. I am really getting into this organic veg thing, the taste is so much better than stuff from Tesco!

I guess you could say he is a little more reserved than me although he has his moments
and star watching we do have in common though*sighs* nothing better than the night sky and starlight especially in winter when the sky is clearer.
Organic veg is so good and tastes even better when you have grown it yourself
Feeling more positive today adrenaline must be kicking in and the fighting spirit has returned

Are you far enough away from towns and cities to get a clear view of the and stars without the orange street light glow? That is one of the problems of city life... it is rare to be able to get away from the glow or the hum of traffic
I am glad you are feeling more positive Just hang in there and before you know it the study and stress will be just a memory...
I am going to sit and watch the rain this weekend . I have been swanning around in the pouring rain in my full lenth leather coat today... just enjoying the excuse to look vampiresk!!! Hope you have a good weekend and don't get too 'studied' out!

I am lucky to get a clear view of the sky at night,my friend has bought a wonderful telescope and we pile over to his house and see what we can seeWe have more noise from bats than traffic
It was warm and sunny here todayalthough we had a downpour at 6.Which I got caught in,I wouldn't have minded but I looked like I was entering a wet T-shirt competiton while standing at the train station
Hope you let your leather coat dry out enjoy your rain watching and catch you soon.

I really enjoyed the domestic goddess role which is amazing from someone who claimed they could not cook right up to the age of 20!! Up until then I could cook a mean omelete or nip down the chippy!!!
I am not a happy bunny at the moment - things have been so stressful here this week. I threw my headset across the desk and walked out in tears earlier
Hopefully things will improve later when I get to the Beer Festival!!!
