I agree with you completely. I left the television at home when I started university, and haven't wanted it since. There are far too many interesting things to do out there, all much more productive.

hooray - someone who agrees with me! all my friends think i'm wierd - but they're probably right! still you save so much time... i don't think i've met anyone before who used to have a tv and no longer does - i've never had one, and will try to go for as long as possible without succumbing (sp?) to buying one!!

There really isn't any point - it's not as if there is anything interesting to watch. I find it much more social to go out an meet my friends, or evcen just type here. Otherwise, books are a much better way of spending an evening.

i dont think you're weird, you know that!! and i read as much as you do! but am ashamed to say that i am also addicted to my tele watching
thinking about trying to meet up with some h2g2 people at glastonbury-there's got to be some going. wot do you think?

arwen thats a good idea - we should start a conversation nearer the time to see who's going or something. i'm not sure how we'd meet up when we got there though?

i posted messages on ask h2g2 and the community events web page, just see who takes me up on it. and i think you get maps when the tickets are delivered, so then we can arrange times/dates/places etc. should be a laugh, especially as the big england meetup this year is smack bang in the midle of exams!!
