Because I have a habit of judging people by what bands they listen to bit daft but my friends know not to pay any attention if I disapprove of their choices s'all good...
Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Skid Row, Poison...good choices! I LOVE Maiden and 'snake! Dio is cool but I prefer the little man in Rainbow and Sabbath personally (excluding Dehumanizer)...
Noticed a few of your concert stories can never beat a good gig. Getting your mates together, getting rat-arsed and heading out en masse to a loud proud gig...it's beautiful ^_^
So....rock on! \m/
You're cool ^_^

I couldn't agree more...it's all good catchy singalong fun and they look dead cool as well always helps a guitarist if they look cool. Image is everything -_-
Is that all those bands inc. Whitesnake on the same bill? Omigod that's amazing! I can only vaguely remember the classic Donington lineups (not that I was there for 'em but!)...I went last year but it's called Download now and full of nu-metal bands but I got to see Iron Maiden again and most of the others weren't too bad...
Wanna try and catch the new Whitesnake next time they tour as I missed them last time >_<

Pleased to meet you too
I sure hope Donington '92 was better than Maiden's live album from that gig made it sound...I have every Maiden album apart from that one (and Edward The Great but that don't matter ) cos I thought it was shocking...bah. The Donington '88 lineup would've been a killer to see. They just don't do bills like that no more!
If we want to compare then the big bands I've been able to see would be Iron Maiden (5 times), BLAZE (twice), Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Sum41, One Minute Silence, King Prawn, Earthtone9 and of course last year's Donington lineup...Chimeria, Arch Enemy, InMe (crap!), Funeral For A Friend (seen 'em twice and they SUCK!), HIM and Marilyn Manson and maybe one or two more. I was very disappointed with Manson...no spontienity, could've been miming pretty much, no audience interaction and no props to distract us from the music (which I'm not too keen on anyway )...but my bisexual fanboys mates thought it was stunning. Bless 'em
I love going to the local gigs round here...we're kinda spoilt, loads of bands and some good venues, though there's only about one proper Metal band in this whole city. Off to see Adam Bomb tomorrow, w00t!
Key: Complain about this post
