BookCrossing

Wow, this is fun. I've often passed on a book to someone I've just met, now I can know where it travels to.

Inspiration for Historical research, but great for all types. A1314389
I think I should begin writing a geographical article. Maybe on the airport. I just don’t know.

I'm afraid of a lack of passion in Canadians.
Posted Oct 2, 2003
In Canada the trend is moderation. In general, people do not voice solely one side of an argument for fear of offending someone. It is this that has encouraged the stereotype of an inoffensive population. This has often been attributed to the social and linguist history that placed Canada as a buffer zone between the USA and England. The fear of stepping on another persons’ toes has produced a noticeable lack of passion. To discuss something passionately, one must have a definite point of view.

How to find a great restaurent
Posted Sep 24, 2003
My friend and I just spent 3 days in Vancouver, acting like tourests. Ofcourse from time to time we had to find some food, so we went looking for restaurents.
It's amazing how much you can tell about the food in the restaurent before you enter it. A list:
1. How many people are inside? depending on the time of day.
2. if it is ethnic food (like chinese) how many people of that origin (chinese people in chinese style restaurent) are inside.
3. location
4. how clean is it.
5. are the people inside happy, content, enjoying themselves and the food.
6. do the staff look clean.
there are other factors as well.
I am very good at choosing a restaurant, maybe I should write an entry on this.
