I'm afraid of a lack of passion in Canadians.

In Canada the trend is moderation. In general, people do not voice solely one side of an argument for fear of offending someone. It is this that has encouraged the stereotype of an inoffensive population. This has often been attributed to the social and linguist history that placed Canada as a buffer zone between the USA and England. The fear of stepping on another persons’ toes has produced a noticeable lack of passion. To discuss something passionately, one must have a definite point of view.
