The recliner I bought second hand for Mk2 was a good one, as it also vibrated up and down from head to toe, which was great for her blood circulation, (as she suffers from bloot clots) but alas, its now bustedsmiley - erm
The motor to raise and lower it, does not seem to get power any more? The vibration part still works, but that's no good if you cant recline on itsmiley - wah
We paid $400 for it as well, (it was 3 months old) now you can a buy a new one for around £250 on EBay.

hi smudger,websailor
-
got them at about 3pm, the recliner is just a lean back one, cost £30.
-
smudger. the problem might be one of two things, if the motor doesnt run, could be the drive bushes in the motor need replacing as they have worn down.
-
wont cost a lot to have replaced
-
if the motor is going, then the drive cogwheel might have damaged teeth, or worn right down, again not a lot to replace, smiley - dragonjim

Hi Jim. Yea! I know it is repairable but its a case of finding someone to do it, without being ripped off, as as soon as some of these folk know its for a disabled person, the price goes right up, and that is if you can get them to come to the house at all, as its too heavy for me to put into our car, which it probably wouldn't fit now as we changed our car over recently for a smaller onesmiley - erm

hi smudger
-
is there anyway you can check the mechanisim to see if there is a worn part, if so and you can find the company that either sold or made it, you can probably find the part on the net.
-
if its the bushes, they should be easy to remove and replace,
-
the only part thats dear to replace would be the armature,in the motor drive.
-
if you have a freid or mate that can do a check, could be one of the three smiley - dragon jim

I think its a power supply to the motor Jim, as the green light does show that power is getting through, but as soon as I press the button it goes outsmiley - erm
