Lua in her cage ::Mind you i scream if put in cage,A pepper grinder?,
yes that would be extremly usefull to grind up Lua's food ,more dignified than those liquidisers.smiley - biggrinAz ever thought of trying your cats on harness and lead ,from the sound of it sunny would take to it easily, Hannah in her entire life only used the carrting cage to sleep in.Even Henry will "allow" his dignty to be compromised in this way.

Introduce the cat to it gradualy, best done as kitten, but does make vet trips easier!

hi logicus,

I did have the idea to try Sunny with a harness and lead when he was smaller so I could take him outside with me sometimes. But I think I left it too long because the first time I put the harness on (quite a spiffy red leather one with silver studs) he collapsed on the floor and moaned and groaned so pitifully whilst rolling around on his back that I had to take it off. Subsequent trials produced the same reaction so I eventually gave the harness away to someone with a new puppy.

Lua quite likes sleeping in her cage - a little wicker one (I have a bigger plastic one for the boys). The wicker one is always in the living room and has a towel in it and Lua often takes catnaps there.

Caerwynn,

Photos schmotos! We'll video tape it as well. smiley - ok

Well, okay, perhaps not a parade. But at least the birthday party. I hope the huge bald patches on her front legs have grown in by then. Though it really wouldn't matter since she has such a pretty face.

My goodness I love this little cat! smiley - smiley

Flipping through my mental encyclopedia tells me that pepper-grinding requires opposable thumbs. Very few cats, in my experience, have opposable thumbs. Soooo, either Lua is a very unusual kat or the pepper-grinder is for Az.....

PS, I like my pepper-grinders like I like my coffee. Tall, dark, extra sweet, and very rich.....

*dang, she figured it out!*

(pssst . . . Mudhooks! don't tell Blues, okay?)

So back from the supermarket with an assortment of Whiskas paté: beef&veal, chicken&turkey and trout&tuna. About half the price of the Hill's paté. There was also normal Whiskas (even cheaper) but of course I wanted the 'gourmet' stuff for Lua.

Couldn't find Purina but they had another brand called something-or-other Cat Chow and I always thought this was Purina, so maybe it's produced by another company here? Who knows. Anyhow, I think Lua will be quite happy with this new paté.

smiley - cool I wont tell you what mine does, but is very effective.
Spent a busy few days on get writeing ,have found poor efforts at
writeing prose.

Az does sunny wear a collar if so try him with a home made harness of
a sheet strip with a popper in house, fit it before a meal, then take off after a little while.

If it is done gradualy he might get used to it ,then later on you can fit harness over strip .
Murphy law into play spar type shop has "foil" pouches sheba whiskas
half price.

Hey... we DO have a lot in common, Az... My last was also short, dark, and bitter....

Is grating the parmesan anything like cutting cheese? If so, then they could have been identical twins...

Mudhooks, I think what I actually said was 'short, bitter and tasteless' but only because coffee is not usually bald. smiley - winkeye

No, cutting cheese is not as tedious as grating parmesan. Mine also used to peel the garlic. Wouldn't change the litter box though.

ah well . . . happily those days are gone

How to explain cheese cutting delicately...

While I'm thinking about it I'd like the grinder with the big peppers.

Yes.. I know now that Az was referring to "grating the Parmesan" literally. Whereas, "cutting the cheese" is a different kettle of fish.

Mine would never grate the parmesan, but had mastered the art of cutting the cheese.

Actually, my last was was short, bitter, and balding.
