Edward the Bonobo - Gone.

I want my money back! There were meant to be rollerskates.

There was a man on telly last night building a new house, loosely based on Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona pavilion. He had two Great Danes, so he decided to have carpets instead of wooden floors, so they wouldn't keep skidding into the glass walls. Talk about spoilsport!

First 'baby blossom' photos to be found here. Oh, can hardly stand it, they are just too gorgeous.

Ha! Happily, my cats have never had fleas. In fact, even when I took Azar in from the street (he was five months old) he didn't have fleas, which was very surprising, not to mention extremely lucky. I've rescued a couple of wee ones since then who were total flea bags, though I kept them separated from the other cats while I found a home for them. Still, as I spent a lot of time with the little foundlings it's quite amazing I didn't bring any fleas into the rest of the apartment.

Though I suppose Fleamenco Cats could be a variation of a flea circus?

Elfrida - lovely to hear from you again. If we do end up having to busk at some point I'll play your beautiful songs on a cassette and just mime them (step up from being a street statue I reckon).

Actually, that reminds me of a street 'busker' in Toronto I knew many years ago who would sit in his usual spot (in his wheelchair) and play his transistor radio. Both smiley - weird and sad - I always used to give him some spare change.

Does anybody here use Flickr? Apparently it's super-easy to upload pics from Flickr to Wordpress blogs - though to be honest, I found it pretty easy just uploading from my PC file.

Those are gorgeous, Edward!

I'm still not sure what to do with Flickr - so far it's just an extra widget on my wordpress blog in case I find it handy.

I'm quite happy with Fotki and like the set-up better than Flickr. And I agree with you that it's quite easy to upload photos on the blog from 'my images' on my PC.

In any case, I'm a paid-up member with Fotki for their 'Premium' whatsit until January - unlimited space and no advertising. They caught me out offering two years at a cheaper rate - *just before* they started offering unlimited space for free accounts. But it doesn't cost a lot - $25 a year? - so I'll probably stick with it.

Back to RSS . . . I've been using Google Reader and that seems to work okay for receiving new posts started by people on my list, but it doesn't show new comments made on the posts.

Are there any RSS readers that do this?

az, I think you need a special feed for comments, though I'm not quite sure how to generate that. I think the standard feeds will only track posts, but some blog sites have additional feeds that track comments. Don't quote me on that, though.
