Affetside
I live in a small, UK village called Affetside. Contents of Affetside:
1 pub of a fairly positive reputation
1 school of a very good reputation- soon to be closed
1 church of a not particularly good reputation- average congregation 3 (I jest ye not!)
1 budding young writer and comedian of no real reputation (me)
Lots of sheep

Not a lot else. About as interesting as trying to decode the molecular make-up of mud, only to find someone else has already done it.
Incidentally this is my first entry. It turns out that I found this website thanks to reading The Salmon of Doubt. Even in death, Douglas Noel Adams helps and guides me. May his memory live forever.
Thought I would add to this now with a little about myself. I'm a student who is adamant that there is NOT a world of work that I may one day have to face. I enjoy watching, analyzing, and criticizing films as well as comedy. I hope to visit the Edinburgh Fringe Festival very soon where I will astound the crowds with my performances as 'Token Male Character' (the comedy group I belong to consists of three young women and myself. Oh, lucky me....)
I am completely willing to participate in ANY conversation- no matter how pointless or baffling. I believe it is a virtue. Others disagree.
