DON’T PANIC!
I inhabit small, out of the way galaxy known as the Milky Way. My planet, known as Earth to its inhabitants, has a surface gravity of 9.78m/s^2, a mass of 6.5e21 tons, a 24 hour rotation period with respect to the sun, a 365 day 5hr revolution period around the sun, and one known sentient life form.
That life form is a carbon based ape descendant of the genus Homo Sapiens Sapiens. I am pleased to say that I am an example of a thirteen revolutions around the sun old female of the aforementioned species. I inhabit a late-discovered continent called North America in a section designated The United States Of America. My particular home on this continent is called Washington D.C. and is the capital of The United States Of America. It was founded in 1790 on the Potomac River surrounded by the states of Maryland and Virginia and was designed by Major Pierre Charles L'Enfant around 1791. It was the first American city planned for a specific purpose; it was designed to be a beautiful city with wide streets and many trees. The city's business is centered around the government. Another name for Washington, D.C. is the District of Columbia. The district was originally a 10 mile square crossing the Potomac River into Virginia. Both Virginia and Maryland donated part of their land for the capital district. The Virginia portion of D.C. was later ceded back to Virginia. The average temperature was 37 degrees Fahrenheit in winter, 56 in spring, 77 in summer, and 60 in fall. The population in the year 2000 was 572,059. The highest point there (in case there is a flood while you visit) is called Tenleytown and the time zone is “Eastern”.
I hope this was a comprehensive (if uninformative) guide to Ix. Have a nice day.
