Hey, I'm back...
Barb Posted Nov 18, 2003
Hi there....it took a bit of lookin' but I found you. I've been away for a while..., I've been on a leave of absence from work since Oct 15, Mom passed away Oct 25...I fell and twisted my ankle day before she passed...did the thing on crutches...Mom was at home and went quietly during the night, I'm thankful for that, but I must say, she was quite her difficult self right up to the end...my bathroom ceiling fell down from a leak above, all the same day..now my whole bathroom is being ripped out to be replaced...what a mess....but Ohhh...ahhhh....I'm still alive......yeah
drop me a line to let me know what I've been missing...

It's a boy cat. But it's not my fault that we can't agree! I though Pepperoni was a good name but apparently not.
Barb
*Drops line* Bugger.
about your mother, I'm sorry. Is your ankle better yet?
Hey, I'm back...

It's Mal now, yeah. I got bored of Fnord, see.
My stepfather twisted his ankle years ago, and it still hurts occasionally. Bad luck

Re: the Roadkill thing. Just please don't do that again, okay? Just ask first, that's all.

It just went wrong. I gave it, and then he said "is she okay with it?", at which point I remembered that you got catty about things like that, but by the time I'd finished checking, he'd added you. Won't happen again.

Catty??? Do you know what that means? I'm not catty at all. Okay, occasionally I might get a bit snippety or even persnickety . . . but never catty.
What are your Christmas plans?

Mal Posted Dec 19, 2003
Is "persnickety" even a word?
Christmas plans, hmm. Scrape together enough money to get five pound presents for everyone I know. Watch a lot, and I mean a WHOLE LOT, of television. Eat far too many sweets. Feel ill. Maybe go to a party or three.
You?

Yes persnickety is a word! Look it up. At the same time you look up catty to find out what that actually means.
My neighbour Eric dropped off his VCR this morning that plays both American and Eurpean videos. So I can watch some of my favourite Christmas stuff that I have on tapes that I brought from Canada.
I won't watch television.
But I will watch films and stuff.
No parties. No dinners. No sweets (don't like sweets).
Just me and cats and - I hope! - a bottle of cava for Christmas Day (will have to see how my Visa card credit is holding out . . .)
Hmmmm. . . not terribly ho ho ho sounding, is it?

Poor, lonely az...
But at least you've got a) cats and b) videos, eh? I'll be in a house packed with five screaming siblings.

Remember when I sent you the photos and they got returned? Well, I just sent you a Christmas e-card and *that* got returned too!
So I was just about to give you heck for not clearing out your hotmail account enough when I realized that I had been sending stuff to 'antichristteen' .
Gosh, talk about yer freudian slip!
az
just finished watching Donnie Darko . . . it was okay

Mal Posted Dec 21, 2003
Okay? OKAY? No taste whatsoever!
Can it be? Am I an antichrist in your mind? Well, I never. Prepare to burn in Hell...

Mal Posted Dec 21, 2003
Well, *I* thought it was a good idea. See? No problems! Except - OW! MY EYES!!

Well, in the sense that it crashed my mentally abnormal computer, causing it to flash ultra-bright light into my optical nerve suddenlt, before I'd even SEEN it - no.
