I like pink, i like to wear pink and my living room is pale pink. I draw the line at a pink tv screen though Tuesday morning my tv turned pink I tried fading out all the colour to black and white, what i got was black and pink!
So, it was time to buy a new tv. I was planning on getting one soon anyway, as my portable had served me for 15 years.
I've now got this LCD tv, which takes some getting used to, aside from the fact its twice as big as my old tv . I ended up with a headache lastnight after watching it. Part of that was probably due to the fact that i spent 2 hours trying to tune the thing in Turns out i needed a different cable, after that it was fine, though i still can't tune the video recorder in All i need now is some popcorn and people to walk in front of it every few minutes

How many times must I tell you, Lady Venus, ... you need a personal techy- in the house to sort these things. A little home cookin', a minor thing called air-fare ...
I am glad that you finally got it though, knowing you've been thinking of one for quite some time.

If ya glue a handle on it, it immediately becomes "portable". Then you could bring it along. I'm sure there'd be room in any typical lady's ...

You could also get the Pink Intempo Digital Radio as well, if you like. Only £149:00 Should match your decor
Enjoy, V. If I was nearer I'd have sorted it out for you... But you were asking what to do with your holiday!

Ah yes, but is it HD ready?
A friend bought a LC TV but was told it was not HD ready

Hi LW nice to see you about.
Apparently it is HD ready, whatever that means
Errr..you know Maz as much as i like pink, there's no way i would cough up £149 for a radio.

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Aug 10, 2006
"HD" is high-definition, ... super sharp and crisp pictures apparently. You can see each speck of pollen if you try. Or really, REALLY see every ugly pore on the schnozz of the narrator.

Oh right. I don't expect some of the celebs are going to be too chuffed that all their flaws with stand out
Pink!!!
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Aug 10, 2006
Really? I'd have thought all of your celebs were flawless. Why else would they be so desperate to put themselves up to ridicule on "reality TV".

>>there's no way i would cough up £149 for a radio<<
I knew that, buit it would be soooo
And you are right about personalities ing about HD.
However it is going to be a long time before HD is readily available on terreastrial TV, while they concentrate on Digital TV, so I wouldn't worry.
Just enjoy it!!!

I have cable tv, so it could be here sooner.
I'm not sure i want to see all the flaws and such, i quite like things how they are.
If i did'nt have such a good sound system already, i might have been tempted with the radio
Nick
It's not just their physical flaws you need to worry about with some of our celebs

Ah, so then like regular people, ... if you hold them up to enough scrutiny and exposure, they show less than pleasant natures? Geez, I find THAT hard to believe.
Anyhow, soon you'll have to look about for a good DVD player. I happen to know someone with some really first-rate discs of a couple of years in a certain Garden.

And would that be Blue-Ray, Double Density, or double-sided, all due next year?
VHS or BetaMax 2007 perhaps?
I'll stick with my VHS video-recorder thanks...
And you wouldn't be refering to Alan Couchgrass' program about my local Spinney, would you?
Pink!!!
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Aug 10, 2006
Hmmmm, double density has been the commercial standard for quite some time now, ... years actually. I don't know of blue-ray ...
Here, VHS is obsolete, and I really don't see Sony coming out with another variant of BETA-Max.
And who? About something called a Spinney?
Pink!!!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Aug 10, 2006
Alan 'Couchgrass' Titchmarsh is a gardening show presenter. Spinney is another term for small wood...or in this case Kew.

Venus, I'd be more than happy to sit behind your sofa and rustle papers, cough, and mumble about how bad the acting is.
