First of all, I'm still relatively new here myself, & just thought I'd pop 'round to some of the recent arrivals. You know, just to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard'...maybe offer you a & some ...possibly some ?

There ought to be an ACE, or Assistant Community Editor along fairly soon, to give you an official welcome & a few tips to make you feel a bit more at home. I suppose, if I can give you a tip, it'd be on using those icons, like the , , , , , etc - just type smileys into the search window.

A place you might want to try if you like chatting is The Cafe @ A202924 , although I haven't been in for quite awhile & it seems to have changed a bit. But shortly after I registered, I met a number of people there (& had some fairly long chats). There's also The United Friends Of h2g2, @ A703126 .

Its sunny and getting warmer. The city is still on hold! Not many getting to work yet. Tomorrow should be a different story
The hubby braced the porch roof. The snow is challenging many a roof. 3 people have lost their lives Not many fortunately for the storms severity.

It is very bright with the sun out. Probably will be some nasty flooding around next.

Very nice here too, warm & sunny. Just gotta watch for stretches of sidewalk, covered with run-off (water from the melted snow, thhat freezes overnight), often, it'll remain partially frozen until mid-afternoon. The worst patches are an lyer of ice, with maybe 1/2 an inch of water on top - go down on that & it's not just falling on the sidewalk, its getting very wet too! (Fortunately, I managed amazingly well today !)

We really must quit meeting in this quiet out of the way place!
