It's All About Me
So I see we've all become a number eh? Although I'm particularly fond of the number 218439, you can just call me Ben. I'm from a little place in America known as "Iowa." For starters, no, we don't grow a lot of potatoes. We grow corn. Lots of it. You can't drive from one town to another without seeing at least three cornfields. Not that I don't like potatoes. In fact, one of my favorite family meals includes German Potatoes and Scalloped Corn, primarily because they both contain cheese, but also because I like potatoes and corn. I'm not from Wisconsin, but I suspect if I were, I would still like German Potatoes and Scalloped Corn because they contain cheese. Cheese is good. Where was I?
Oh yes, Iowa. I'm currently a student at Iowa State University. In Iowa. Now there's a University of Iowa sometimes just called "Iowa," but we here at ISU don't like to talk about them. It's hard enough trying to explain you're from Iowa, but you don't go to Iowa. So let's just say I live in the midwest. The middle of it in fact. You can't get much more central in the midwest than Iowa, except maybe Missouri, but again, we don't like to talk about that.
We've established that I am Ben, from Iowa, but going to Iowa State University.
My two favorite non-human loves in this galaxy are music and computers, though I am becoming less sure of the latter. Music is very important to me, and I appreciate it in many forms. One semester I pretended to be a music major and liked it very much. Alas, my true area of studies lies in computer engineering, a queer thought considering I loathe computers tremendously. Don't get me wrong; I love gadgets and technological marvels and always have the "almost" latest in computer hardware, but computers tend to infuriate me in such a way that I never want to deal with them again. I'm looking forward to a very exciting career.
That's enough about me. I'll leave the rest for journals and guide entries.
