I'm still reasonably new here myself, & just thought I'd pop around to a few of the recent arrivals. You know, just to say 'hello', 'welcome aboard', maybe offer you a , or
& some
.
Oh, unlike a number of the folks here, I'm from this side of 'the pond', I'm up in western Canada (been very similar here, as far as snow, although we just got 8 to 10 inches in the past couple wks!), up above western Montana. If you'd like, I can mention your User# (for reference/access) to a few of the American's I've gotten to know - on here. Feel free to click on my nickname, to visit my space. If you want to use some of those icons, type smileys into the search window.
Otherwise, make yourself comfortable, this's a very friendly place, so don't hesitate to go looking around - just mention that you're new, people'll be a bit more considerate. There should be an ACE (Assistant Community Editor)by fairly soon, to give you an official welcome, & a few tips to make you feel a bit more at home. Hope you become half as fond of the place, as I have...expect to 'see you' participating, before too long, alright...bye for now *waves*
Greetings part 2

PuzzlemMage, great choice, I like that - so, how could I have missed it?? about that! Yes, as abbie said, this place is great for insomnia, especially when you take time zones into consideration, I mean, London's 7 hours ahead of me...what 6, I think, ahead of you? And, of course, Sydney, Australia's 17 hours ahead of me, etc
For example, I've been 'talking' to people in New Zealand, Estonia, & the Netherlands until almost 3:30am, local time. And, (ok, not relating to insomnia...or, is it, sort of?) sometimes I'll find myself oddly awake, & eager to get here, at 4:30-5am (local time)! Now, thats unasual!!
Key: Complain about this post
