If you catch me online..
Posted Feb 28, 2005
.. please tell me to get lost . Just realised there's only 3 weeks left of term (where does the time go? ), and I've more coursework deadlines than I care to count.
The fact that it'll all be over on the 26th May (my last exam) isn't exactly helping, as a quick count finds that only 3 months away . Before that I've a heap of journals to read too .
My project's hit a bit of a standstill too, the ground beetles are all in diapause . I was hoping the next generation would hatch early, but no, it goes and snows. I just keep catching slugs, and you really do not want to know what a slug looks like when... well, you wouldn't want to know.
So, before I go off on any more of a tangent, although I intend to drop by h2g2 briefly every couple of days or so, if you catch me spending any amount of time here before the 18th April, please tell me to go away.

Pancakes!
Posted Feb 8, 2005
Every single year I make pancakes, rediscover they great they are and aim to make them on other days as well.
Every single year I forget.
So,
Note to self: Make pancakes!

Two years of hootoo..
Posted Jan 27, 2005
.. and I've only written 2 entries, quite pathetic really . Especially considering I wrote those in the first few months . I guess I have met loads of people though, and quite a few of them in real life, both at and outside meets. One of them has caused my world to go a bit soft and fuzzy about the edges , and we've been together long enough now for me to not often have to try and explain to non hootooers how we met, which takes some doing .
All in all it's been a good couple of years, so to all the researchers I've talked to, apologies to all those I've whined at when work's been annoying and thanks to all those who've cheered me up and made me smile after yet another really depressing lecture on how the world's in no small mess.
One day I might even get round to writing another entry
