I'll run down to the machine when everyone gets back and grab a pack of chips or something ...it was the only time I had to send off the books, I've been putting it off long enough

At least this was I know that my books have gone to good homes !

And proper placement is so important...

Two are off somewhere in Victoria (ie here )< one to Finland, one to America and one to Brazil...I'm travelling vicariously through my books !

*sob* Off to see the world...let's hope they at least send postcards.

Ahh well, they's all grown up now and have no need for the warm, loving shelter my bookshelf has provided them...

I don't really know any serious readers, and I hate the thought of books gathering dust and going unread...so I'd rather send them off

That's a good way to handle it/the situation.

And this way I get a constant stream of new books coming in...I mean, to look at it one way, it cost me about $30 something to send off 5 books...all of which were a swap so I'll be getting 5 books back...which basically means I'm paying $6 each for 6 books I haven't read before...it's a lot cheaper than book stores

And this way they get to be loved continually all over the world !

For some reason it always takes longer than I think it will...mostly, I suppose, because I end up gasbagging with my brother

Oh well, they've gotten their pound of flesh from me today, and then some, to be honest

I figure once I give up my pound I can afford to come back late from work and take long breaks in the afternoon...is that wrong ??
