Ahh, bless the Powers that be, that your hangover wasn't as bad as you thought it would be !

And as for the spider...it wasn't poisonous...only a huntsman...but they're huge...and hairy...and they can jump...

...and I'm terrified of spiders...

I spent ages trying to kill it...and after I did I felt bad because I killed it...d@mn my Catholic vegetarian messed up sense of morality !

Don't feel bad about the death of spiders. They'd kill you if they could!

Huge & hairy I've got no problem with...can jump?!?! Oh I'd have neede clean undies!!

The thing is it couldn't kill me...it's apprantly only poisonous if you eat it (what can I say, this is what I've been told...they're very poisonous but their teeth can't break human skin...or something like that )

The worst thing I ever found out is that they can jump...spiders freak me out...and that's when they're only two dimensional...trying to avoid getting jumped on is ridilous...

...which is another reason why it took so long...

Yeah, I know what you mean hun, glad we only get reasonably insignificant ones up here.

We have very visious and very poisonous spiders down here...luckily...not so much around where I live...

(i just get evil hairy jumping things....man...I only looked at the pictures on the link for a few seconds and my skin is crawling...*shudder*)

Cool, the common variety looks a bit like our tarantulas here. I really don't mind spiders unless one actually gets on me, or I walk through a web. That's the scariest, as you never know if one's crawling on you or not...

Well, I'll look in the morning...if I did now, I'd be havin' nightmares about bein' attacked by man-eating, mutant spiders!

Worst nightmare I ever had was not long after I moved to the desert. I'd found a scorpion in my sink right before bed. I dreamed that I woke up and felt something crawling on me, so I turned on the light, and my entire bedroom was covered in scorpions!

I actually woke up screaming, scared my dog half to death. I turned on every light in the house and didn't sleep another wink the rest of the night.

Oh yeah, I can imagine Ranger! I've only seen a scorpion on TV...Fear Factor most recently.

Scorpions and centipedes scare me a lot more than spiders. Fortunately, the house I'm in now is a mobile home that's been stuccoed over, so it's well sealed. I don't have much in the way of bug or rodent problems, thank the gods!

Like I said...in the morning, I'd like to get some sleep.
