A Little Of Me
My Name is Lady Calamity and I have been writing poems and short stories since 2002 – which is a relatively short period of time but I make up for it with the experience of life! As a writer they say it’s always best to write about what you know and being a single mother with 2 children (whom I love and give most of my attention and they reward me by giving me inspiration) and they supply me the knowledge, skill and understanding while relying on being thoughtful, kind and sympathetic.
I used to Voluntarily teach pre-school children the use of computers and help reception age children (4-5yrs) learn to read, by use of word cards and games as well as starter books, which I did on a one to one basis at the local primary school.
I have suffered with panic attacks since I was 23 and find it quite difficult to venture into the outside world.
My poems and short stories are mainly about life, friends and the things that happen around me. I run my own ironing business from home and recently became involved in making homemade greeting cards. This diversity gives me the opportunity to do what I really love and that is writing as I am constantly working towards being a successful published author. Anchor books have made available my poems in print including ‘The Words That You Feel’ and ‘Chocolate’.
