Can we discuss the racist aspects of Tolkein's works?

In fact there are definite paralells between the pathologising of childbirth and the war on terror. Both involve using fear to undermine perception; both involve people (usually white men) setting themselves up as experts and investing in themselves a large amount of power over 'ordinary' people; and both involve extensive use and/or misuse of data to support their own position despite opposition from the people they are meant to be helping.

I can't say I've missed the presence of moose in the works of J.K. Rowling. But then I haven't read any of the works of J.K. Rowling and I haven't missed them either

What was Tolkien on about??? Anhaga, someone high up has been reading your threads!

Wasn't there also thread drift into pregnancy and abortion on the Tolkien thread? If not, why not?
