It's been a wonderful week!

I spent the past week in the United States, and I actually sort of liked it. Even with the people that can sometimes annoy you, driving by talking on their cellphones or doing other obnoxious stuff, there are many more wonderful people in the USA, who make it a great place to visit (but I still wouldn't want to live there).
So what did I do? I laid on the couch, slept a bit, went to the local library and checked some books out, including Starship Titanic by Terry Jones (a wonderful read, I highly recommend it). Also, I went to the mall, and bought some sandals (nice yellow ones).
The only bad thing was that I fell off my bike and scraped my knee. To summarize: the USA is great!

A problematic weekend...

Well, here at the Machina residence, things have gone haywire. Our main computer has broken down (again), so I've carried my old 486 downstairs to where our ADSL modem is to connect to the internet for the weekend. It's slow, but it gets me on h2g2, so who am I to complain?
Warm weather has begun in this little mountain town I live in, and it feels like summer already. I've been doing some garden work 
which my dad says 'builds character'. In my opinion, all it gives me is a sore back. But, I got it done early and went uptown to get some ice cream.

Another apology, everybody. All work I'm doing on h2g2/BBCi I now have to put on hold, because I'm going on vacation. It may seem like I'm avoiding work on purpose, but I don't mean to!

An Explanation

You may have noticed- actually to be brutally honest, you probably won't have noticed at all- that my h2g2 activity has been down recently. Some signs of this are the ad processing delays at the post classifieds @ A630019, no recent ACEings from me lately, and other stuff.
So, here's the explanation: Windows 98 Second Edition.
My mom needed it put on the family computer, and so the problems started. The machine crashed, but even when I got it to boot, I couldn't access the net.
But now, service is running as normal. Relax and enjoy your shoes.Deus Ex Machina
