The power of the press...

WOOHOO! As you may have surmised by examining my nickname, I am now smiley - thepost's Assistant Deputy Editor (in-training)! Sure, it's not as good of a job as being one of The Powers That Be, but it comes close! Very close!

Single Sign On- my thoughts

After about 10 errors, I've finally been able to log on to h2g2 today! The trouble is most likely due to this new 'Single Sign On' project, which lets you use one username for all BBCi services. IMHO, once all the bugs are worked out, this will be very convenient. smiley - applause to all the BBC staffers who created this. Thanks!

In other news, I'm the new host of the VDLV Harvest Festival's Fruit & Veggie Competition! I don't have a link handy, but there's a link to it from the h2g2 Circus page, which there is a link to in my introduction.

In real life news, I've purchased a Nintendo GameCube! It's a very very cool gaming system, which I decided to purchase after the price dropped. I purchased the game 'Animal Crossing' with it, a game which I recommend buying.

Back!!!!!!!

*whistles* Hey everyone, I'm ba--

Dear LORD, what have they done to h2g2???

Everything's so different! And I've only been gone for a week! Too much change! Can't think... brain failing... can't go on describing symptoms much longer...

*15 minutes and one sandwich later*

Wow! I've said it once, and I've said it again, h2g2 has changed. It seems that it's become more 'community-oriented', which (IMVEHO) is a good thing. The bad thing is the fact that our Italics are dropping like flies. smiley - brave

But more good news- I'm back. I'd say something, but nothing interesting is coming to my mind. Sorry if that's disappointing. (I doubt it though- that's the way my brain usually works!)

News Flash!!!

smiley - musicalnote

We regret to announce that one Mr Deus Ex Machina will temporarily be leaving h2g2. He explained this in a press conference earlier today.

'Well, really, it's just the schoolwork. Too much of it. Stupid grade nine. And, there's also this other big project I'm working on that just makes my schedule too full.'

When asked about this immense project, he replied cryptically, 'You'll see when it's finished.' He also threw in a smiley - winkeye for good measure.

He also reminded the press that this was only temporary, and would only last 'til the end of the month. 'I might also be lurking, and accomplishing other important h2g2 jobs, such as the Classifieds,' he stated.

Afterwards, when he realized that there wasn't anyone at he press conference, he sighed and walked away.

School!!!

School has, unfortunately, started for me. After the first week, it's not THAT bad, but it is, as always, unpleasant. I'm a bit ticked off, especially since 'The Administration' decided to ignore my request to be put in Home Ec and put me in Drafting instead (my drawing skills are, to say the least, sub-par). At least I have a good French teacher. Nothing much else to say, except that it's too hot here. I wish it was cooler.
