BTW - if you would like to give yourself a name (numbers can be a little impersonal - and hard to remember ) you can do so by hitting the "preferences" button on your screen. If you are viewing in "goo" (dark blue background) the button is at the left hand side nestled in the goo - don't know where it is in alabaster (white background) cause I'm a goo fan – and if you are viewing in the new Brunel skin it's on left hand side of the screen - I am sure that you will find it there somewhere

hey how do i get the list of people who have me on their friends list? i noticed that cleba has this on her space.

Why not pop over to Cleba's space an ask her - I'm sure that she won't mind

I think that it's automatic but I'll check for you and let you know

hey is there any way i could start a forum and get permision or somthing to swear? cause i want to start a forum called "wats so bad about swearing" so i assume there might be the need for swearing and its annoying to keep on saying f***, so can u help me out?

Because h2g2 is a site that is used by all ages there is a "no-profanity" rule - but the asterisks sort of get over that - we even have a ing smiley for it :-D Please remember that whatever you post on this site is accessible to everyone - there are no "private" converstaions here. But it has been discussed many times - to find where you can go to the h2g2 search box above (use "advanced search") select "Search the Guide" for articles or "Search the Conversation Forums" for conversations. There are lots that you might like to participate in - the main thing is to make sure that you go to the last post in the thread if you want to add to the conversation. I think that I forgot to mention that swearing is against the House Rules and that exessive swearing could put a Researcher's account at risk. hey, could u help me again? me and a bunch of other people on h2g2 are gonna write a book together, and we were just wondering if we get the copyright laws or bbc? cause if it does become a really good book and we want to publish it would we get the credit?

Here's the info you need direct from the House Rules

"It's important to note that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to h2g2. This means you are perfectly free to take what you have written and re-publish it somewhere else.

All you do in contributing to h2g2 is to grant us the right to publish. In other words, anything you create on h2g2 is done under the condition that you grant us a non-exclusive licence to distribute and edit the material in any way that we want, and in any media. As we may wish to distribute the Guide in various formats over time, we need to be sure that we have the right to publish everything that's on h2g2."
