Gawd I hope somebody is reading this stuff besides you and me because you have some awesome stuff to share.
Now, though, if there's a personal issue thing here I don't think we need to keep it going. People can follow through if they want. You shouldn't have to dredge up bad memories or whatever to clue me in. I mean I'm honored you do but I really didn't intend for this to get under your hide in any way. So if you want to blow it off it's okay, okay?
I have no idea what it's like to have to deal with an ex or a bimbo although I've probably been one once or twice, bimbo that is. Still it's probably not so good for the community spirit and stuff, breaking up families. Anyways I better stop blithering before I step in a pile of manure of my own making.

Crikey, if every "issue" I had stopped me from rambling on about things I like to ramble on about, I would be lost!
Actually, to be honest, I have remarkably few issues for someone my age, and for where I am in life.... Never fear, if I don't want to talk about something, I don't.

Check out this: A1041913
It is my recipe for Iroquois Corn Soup. There is probably an equivalent in your neck of the woods.

Drat, and now I am VERY hungry. It is raining like heck here, and I left my umbrella in the car, so someone else has gone out to pick up my lunch. Hopefully she won't be too long, else they will find me collapsed on the floor drooling and mumling in my delerium about pine nuts, fry bread corn soup....
Yummmm... Pine nuts.... and I think the ones we generally get are the European type. However, there is a Mexican store in town which is where I get my dried Hominy when I need it. It generally has the closest selection to South West ingredients in this area. I haven't been there in a year or so, when I picked up some supplies for a service I was doing on "Los Dia de Los Muertos" at our Fellowship.
Since there isn't a huge calling for many of the supplies you need to cook Native dishes, you kind of have to hunt through the stores for various ethnic groups. Luckily, there are quite a number of African, Iranian, and Halal (the Arabic equivalent to Kosher foodstuffs) in town, but you tend to have to travel all over town to get what you want.
When I was maried, we used to go down to Six Nations quite often and there are a couple of places there to pick up some items, including fresh Corn Cake (beans and Hominy corn steamed into a loaf which you slice and either steam and slather with butter or fry. Yummy when eaten with corn soup) and jars of lyed corn.
Ahhh... my lunch is here!

I hope you got filled by that lunch, but that also you could savor each bite a little, taking your time.
I'll be seeing you around I hope. Right now I got to go because wicked Analiese threw another tantrum over another imposition of corporate might here. Been coming a long time maybe. Sometimes you just don't need to let them brand you, you know?

Well, unfortunately, the lunch wasn't good enough to savor.
Had I been able to trot out for it myself, I wouldn't have settled for a burger and fries. I do like to pop out the a place nearby where they have Middle Eastern food. I usually have Shish Taouk which is chicken which has been grilled on a spit, and served on a pita with onion and tomato. I usually have a side of Basmati rice, which is very yummy....

I really like gyros, the spiced roast mutton and stuff and the graceous behavior of those bad bad arab people. They make a lot of Americans look really sorry.

We have some Iranian friends who are wonderful.
I helped co-sponsor a Kosovar family when the former Yugoslavia was in turmoil. They are wonderful people, and although the parents, their youngest daughter, and the grandmother, and now the eldest daughter have gone back, I miss them terribly.
Sadly, the grandmother, who wanted to go home "to die", died about 6 months after their return. Qamille (pronounced Chamilla) once told me "In all my life, I never knew there was a Canada. Now I know there is a Canada and I know that Canadians are good people and I will never forget how Canada has helped us."
A friend of my father's cut me off when he heard that I had sponsored some Muslims. He was big on the SerbsHe said my father would have been ashamed of me. I said that that would have been his problem. Frankly, I could use more friends like Qamille and her family than my father's friend.

You know something? Religious wars run deep in some people. Immortality is not just a good idea, it's the law if you want to have it all someday.
