Bless the Eds
Posted Jul 30, 2008
There's another treat for the community - the Eds have announced there will be 10 new smileys!
Check out this week's Talking Point: A38860987
It's always heartening to see New Good Things for the community after that long time when it seemed that things were only taken away.
cheers Eds

there's a kiwifruit on the FP
Posted Mar 5, 2008
Just in case anyone is listening, thought I should mention it. I'm not sure what to make of it really. It's satisfying having it on the FP, with a nice piccie and all. But I also feel fairly ambivalent about the whole EG and writing thing these days, because I'm not sure what the EG is for any more (please tell me if you know).
Anyways, it was only yesterday that I gave Galaxy Babe, who was subbing, the go ahead to pass the entry on to the Eds, and it's on the FP already . Methinks this is a conspiracy to get me writing something else.

Subject: How much does the concept of your own death scare you?
Posted Jun 1, 2006 by SWL:
I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

The extra special Eddie Izzard reference or anecdote linky link thingy
Posted Nov 11, 2007
Had this idea a while back about any thread that refers to Eddie Izzard or has an Izzard anecdote deserves special status
Here's the first two, am putting them here so I can remember them and if it catches on I'll do an A page.

kea ~ Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded but very well read blue and white website

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
