Could you call on me, elsewhere?
Sorry Nick, it's the other way round for me - convos here are easy, emails not so much. I do agree the idea bears looking at again Maybe in Magrathea?

Well, times and people and things that might bear a little conversation cannot happen here. Any honest or plain post would be zapped in short order as I do have my own cadre of following personal guardian angels.
So I will let the idea drop. anyway.
Oh hell, that is gonna get the . For years, I have not been allowed to use the phrase of 'guardian angels'. Such is life

I don't think it's something we have to set up before we move, and it will be much easier to talk about things later

The term is a hold-over from my earlier days of being a devout RC. I do mean the religious over-seers that keep me from harm. And in this case, from harming others.
As long as a small number of folks and I remain on this same site, some that are friends to you, I will be watched closely. It has become the nature of things.

I'm not really following that... do you mean there are people who follow your conversations and then yikes you alot?
I don't remember a huge amount from your past (I guess we didn't have any major clashes) and find you fine to get along with now

To post #25, most definitely yes and in my previous 'Rev Nick' skin, load of hits arose again. Not a one sustained under current management, (as they were under previous Italic,) but the patterns are there

Hmmm what's going on here then? You really are a piece Nick.
You'll be well aware of the upset that's gone on..so you hone in.
I'll keep an eye on this.
No woman in their right mind would give you their email.

Effers m'dear, there are very few people currently upset. Most are much more relieved that their community has a very good chance of carrying on as they have known it. Perhaps with a few less restrictions on expressing their real opinions of the world at-large.
This was a quiet line with Kea, until first lil and now yourself decided to drop in. And there is another fine tradition of h2g2 ...
"Manners expected of anyone except me"

See Nick what I'd like for noohootoo is that we look out for one another. So yes myself and kea presently have a problem and who knows how that will pan out. But I absolutely won't stand by and not support someone if I'm concerned by what I see. And from past experience of you I'm just sensibly aware.
And remember Nick..anyone on hootoo can read this and will know a bit of the background about stuff even if a bit hazy. They will draw their own conclusions. You cannot *control* that.
We look out for one another.

I am well aware of many eyes on every post that I make. It has been the way for the best part of 5 years now. Nothing new, nor is the idea that some think me the next worst thing to Satan's little brother. A few tales are created, they magnify and get repeated often enough, they become the new 'fact'. Almost like the writing of a bible.
More than enough folks know me, the real me, from interaction and not from story tales, paranoia and exaggerations. I'm good, so do carry on. And on, ... And on.

Sorry to hear that is still happening Nick, but glad that the current Eds are better. They do have the tools to see if someone is yikesing maliciously, but of course they won't be able to tell so easily if it's a number of people doing it
As far as I can see you're making a genuine effort to be in the community in a respectful way. That counts for a lot in my book
Give me your E-Mail address so that i can stalk you??

I'll have to hunt down that horrible annonymous email he sent me then..I don't know if I can. After several months I guessed it was from him..he's admitted it somewhere on my ps.
*I* make a MASSIVE DISTINCTION between nasty calculating games and the kind of naivity of LW.
Seems as different as night from day for me.
Nick is a *player*
Glad you find it interesting.
