How're you going? For someone who's only been here 5 days you seem to have got the hang of it all fairly quickly! 
Just thought I'd point you towards the musicians guild at U150368 - worth taking a look at...I'm not involved in it at all, but that sort of thing is a good place to start at if you're looking for a niche

I may appear to have got the hang of it, but GuideML and the smileys just give that impression! I reckon it'll take me weeks/months to actually get the hang of navigating the site. It's huge! 
I'll check out the guild though, sounds like a good start!

Try A660340 and pages around there - lots of clubs and societies and all that sort of fun stuff - <./>askh2g2</.> is a good place to hang out to get involved in all sorts of inane conversations, and <./>peerreview</.> is good to see what other people are writing about.
