I really like the askh2g2 section . I asked a question about some obscure islands off the North coast of Japan and I got two answers and a link!

What kind of things do I need to add to my entry before I can make it part of the edited guide?

Also, how do I join fan clubs or the thingites? (I want a spork and i've noticed i've been calling Thursday "Thing" recently )

I'm afraid that you, yourself, can't make your entry part of the Edited Guide. You can do the first step -- sending it to Peer Review -- by clicking the "Submit for Review" link. Assuming it gets positive feedback in Peer Review, it may be (after at least one week) be recommended for possible inclusion in the Edited Guide by one of the Scouts. After this, it must be checked and/or changed by one of the Subeditors before being added to the Edited Guide.

Articles in the Edited Guide get a higher rating in searches and are categorised on the front page.

You may like to look at A686595 to see the official guidelines and Writing-GuideML that describes how to use GuideML to add headers, bold, italics, links and more to entries (or even your UserPage! )

I'm not a music expert, but perhaps a brief list of Alec Empire's most famous songs, for example ...

... about the Thingites: go along to A516647 and type in the box most of the way down the page your name and a title, click "Sign me up!!" and you'll be "gabbled" very soon!

Most other clubs have similar ways to join -- you either type in a box on the page or start/add to a conversation on the page!
