Normally you should be greeted by one of the Aces, or Assistant Community Editors, to show you around this site, but this time I beat them.

Unless forced by your brick wall, I will try to pretend not to know of your handicap, to see if that can break the wall.

I call myself Marjin, and I am one of the Guardian Angels, a group of people who like the ACEs like to help, but maybe more focussed on the pure fun-side and role-playing part of h2g2. Thank you for the helpful hints. I'm basically going with the flow.

If you're going to pretend to not know about my disability, do you want to pretend to not know about my Ph.D. while you're at it? Both are part of my life and I do not hide them. The combination of the two has given me the distinct advantage of being able to work at home, and when needing a break to play on sites like these.


The part of my disability was just brought up to make a philosophical point, but as a psychologist, I should have known some would wonder at my motives.

Go to anyones personal page by clicking on their name, that's a good way to find out about others and introduce yourself.
