Hi! I've been advised to discuss further story ideas with you so as to avoid the Prince incident. How's that sound?
I've got a plot I'm working on involving you and I and a necromancer naemd Patricia whilewe were all apprenticed at the guild and just before you became High Lord.

You mean all 3 of us were apprentices?

Yes, and then you ascented to the rank of High Lord, I went into the private sector, and Patricia dissapeared (possibly to go to the Dark Alliance or maybe into the Theives Guild). I'll wait until after this battle, but I've got timelines worked out. The idea I had was for Valir to track down the fate of Patricia by stragic placement of NPCs. Reefgirl has agreed to be the voice of Patricia.

I planned for the High Lord to be older...but who knows it would sound really cool. But if what you say is the story then you and i would be like best friends...But you havent really talked to the High Lord one on one at all heh...

I was thinking of our relationship as "chums" with a rivalry that would build to friendship. You have a youth spell that keeps you looking young, I have a life spell that keeps me looking old. I detailed this in another thread and I'll locate that when I have more time online. The idea is that we three were the apprentices to the former High Lord, Dahon Waddon (for whom the reading room is named). Patricia and I fell in love, but when that love was revealed it caused a scandal (a healer loves a necromancer? What could that produce) and we left the guild. Patricia dissapeared while packing to leave: her room simply ceased to exist. Then the High Lord died from a mysterious poisoning of his food and you became the new High Lord. Two of the healing books in your collection were compiled by me from ancient letters and notes on healing herbs into the two volumes (you lent to Lumien) that I presented to you as a gift at the time of your ascention at the ceremony on the flying outpost, the same day I left to become a private medic and then went into the employment of Lady Shaylar Kareen's father who employed my brother Omar.

Ok i like it all except one thing...


I was planning on having hte two ancient volumns be like one of the first magical written books. One that used herbs and medicine more than the magical touch of a magician. Get my drift...other than that nice thinking :D

OK, how about this?: The books are ancient magic texts, one of which was a gift from me to you, the other from Patricia to you and that one contains a clue as to her present whereabouts.

Reefgirl imagines Patricia as a rogue warrior magician (though she is a necromancer by training, she is multitalented) who stalks those who shunned our love (former high lords, magicians, politicians etc.). She still holds a flame for me, but when we meet, she will knock me unconscious with a bell. What do you think about that?

Is she going to be in the Dark Alliance as one of hte powerful magicians?

I think Reefgirl would be the person to ask about that because she seems really entheusiastic about the role and I think she has her own idea of Patricia's placement in the world. I think it would be interesting to see what happens when Patricia and I reconcile our differences and get married.

Hmm would be fun. Having a wedding in here....

Patricia Du Bois is the daughter of a noble family of Necromancers, they are powerful and keep themselves within a core of necromancer families, she was betrothed at an early age to her cousin Degron Hapt as was traditional within the 2 families, most noble Necromancer families intermarried to keep the bloodlines and the magic pure, they were seen as isolationist amoungst other magician classes.
Patricia was sent to the Magician's Guild to learn more magic than her parents could teach her, she loved the freedom of the guild as her family had made her feel like she was sufforcating, she met and deeply fell in love with a healer caller Polonius Franc, she had never loved her cousin and hated the fact she had no choice in marrying him, she loved the fact Polonius saw her as a woman and not a Necromancer and they spent a lot of time together as lovers while she was at the guild, Patricia's family heard rumours that she had a lover who was a commoner and also not a Necromancer and sent Degron to talk sense into her, she refused to leave Polonius and the guild so Degron played his last card he blackmailed the High Council into breaking up Patricia and Polonius.
Heartbroken Patricia hid herself away in her room which she hid away by using Illusionist powers she'd been enhancing during her time in the guild, Angered by the interfearence Polonoius challanged Degron to a duel it ended when the High Coucil stepped in to stop them killing eachother, They sent the newest member of the High Council, Craxus to tell Polonius that he and Patricia were to break up or leave, Polonius was prepared to leave the guild and marry her but Patricia could not be found, it was assumed that she had run away, Patricia knew all about the Council's demands as she'd sent her familier, a raven called Nevermore, out to spy for her, when she was told of Craxus' conversation with Polonius she vowed she would see all those who had betrayed her dead before the end of her life. She stayed in her hidden room for a month, when she guessed that no one was lookingg for her any more she came out to find Degron waiting for her, using her highly skilled Death Magic she killed him and sent him beyond the Ninth Gate so no one could reach him, then she left the guild for good vowing revenge.
She went back to her home and killed her parents and Degron's parents each one more brutally than before, after that she went after the High Council. From her base in the Water Outpost she became a Magician For Hire she worked for anyone who'd pay her well and during her missions she sought out the council members who'd split her up from Polonius and exacted her revenge, the only one she can't reach is Craxus...for now.
