Group Leadership Confirmation
Terran Started conversation Dec 30, 2003
Hi Craxus,
I'm just posting to ask if you are still happy to run a group. With Reefgirl doing something slightly different, you will be the next group leader, if that is what you want.
There are now enough people to re-distribute.
If you still have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.
All the best,
Verc

Verc,
Hey man, I am always ready to run a group. I was a born leader. Are you familiar with the Boy Scouts of America? Anyways I was a Eagle Scout, which is the top rank. You can't even advance that high in Boy Scouts unless you have leadership skills. Anywho Im always ready for a group.
Always,
Craxus

Excellent, I plan to put Wonko and Thamien in your group to begin with, and then as more people come I will add one other (I am having a maximum of 3 subordinates + yourself).
Have you any thoughts on a name for your group?

I haven't decided on functions at the moment. Its really up to you to give your group an "character" of its own - Make it different from the other groups.
I'm not sure what you mean by sign ups? Do you mean get people who are already members to request to be in your group?

Something like that, i just mean you can have a description of the group and see if people wanna jion it. Im thinking of going special ops. Or maybe if this is a space type thing, to have mobile suits. Mobile suits are huge mechs that have huge engines on them to propel them at great speeds, they also have very nice weapons heh. If you want ot see waht they look like, look here.

If you liked the mobile suit idea, then i will have "OZ Special Forces" as my team name.
The team is used for guerilla warfare, since they are top notch pilots that can pilot the Mobile Suits. Each team memeber gets to design there own mobile suit and use it whenever they wish. The mobile suits are for eleet members, and they are difficult to pilot. But once you got the mobile suit controls mastered then its a explosive fighting machine.
Outside of the mobile suits, the team is trained in the ways of stealth. They are equipped with a silenced pistol, a combat knife, knock out darts, and military all-see goggles. These equipment is used to infiltrate a base and do some damage. The team is trained to kill the opponent before the opponent even knows your in the room.
There are 5 type of mobile suits you can outline yourself in:
-Melee
-Speed
-Heavy Hitting
-Senors
-Stealth
Melee: The melee is designed to fly up close to the target and kill it hand to hand. The melee is good once flying at fast speeds so the target can't hit you when your catching up to him. This mobile suit is good for close range.
Speed: The speed of a mobile suit can be very tremendous or very slow. With speed for your mobile suit you can travel very fast almost always dodge every shot fired at you and you can get into a good firing position. This mobile suit is good for medium range and close range.
Heavy Hitters: Heavy hitters have huge guns of the group. Sure they don't move as fast but you should just see the pure carnage that the heavy mobile suits can lay down. Most of the time Heavy hitters are in the midst of the fighting or in the background depending on what fighting style you choose. With the midst of the fighting you would have a gatling cannon, for the far away attacks you would have a rocket launcher or a sniper rifle fitted to your mobile suit. These guys are good for close up or far away attacks.
Sensors: These guys are very nice if you have guns. The sensors can lock on automatically and keep a lock on for a very long time. If you have a gun or a flying weapon, then these guys are very nice to use. The sensor mobile suits are mainly used in the background to lock on in the distance where its safe. These guys are good for far away fighting.
Stealth: Stealth mobile suits are very nice when you want to land inside a enemy base and see how much stuff you can reck. Stealth units are equipped with a cloaking device that hides your mobile suit from detection of radar and laser defences. Sadly to say its not too good when your near a row of infantry, for they can hear the engines and legs moving, but who cares bout that when you can just swipe them away with a beam sabre. This mobile suit is used up close and personal.
Each of the mobile suits are different in there own perspective, choose wisely for its how you will get suited up in your own personal trained without using a mobile suit.
Ok verc, hows that sound...pretty cool eeh? Anyways are you going to make the page or am i? And what if one of the members doesnt like the sounding of this? Should i see if anyone wants to join and then they can transfer out or something?

Ok since you said this is limited, ill keep it earth bound but most of the mobile suits can travel that fast on land too.
You want to make the page or shall I.

Well I'll make the page, but I would like some input from yourself as to what you want to go in to it. I wouldn't worry too much about what members who aren't happy yet, just get to know them first - and we can worry about it later.
Another point is - I have a "grand plan" for the missions I'll be creating. And as part of this I'm giving each subordinate member a colour (Red, Blue, Green) - which you will choose.
It doesn't have a great deal of significance at the moment, but at the moment it is more to give each character a distinction of some sort.
So if can you can give Thamien, Wonko and AK a colour, I'll put it on your page as I have with Jodan's.
Also, what part do you want your group to have in missions, and in the the whole group in general? I'm really just asking your thoughts about what you really want to do.
Anyway, all the best,
Verc.

I think I've just answered most of that just then, but anyway. I'm really just trying to work out the best way to fit your group in to the Soldiers of Triven group as a whole.

Well what ya mean? My team are basically a bunch of pilots, who pilot human like mechs with boosters and huge weapons. See my post with all the info.
I guess you can say we are a elite force of soldiers/pilots. With the mobile suits we can do serious damage. Without the mechs we can infiltrate buildings, you know just like a spec ops team.

What I mean is, I'm trying to think up potential Mission scenarios, and I'm trying to fit you guys in. There are currently three groups : Jodan's, Reefgirls and yours, and I'm just trying to fit them all together. Reefgirls is much more peaceful (in theory), and so if there was to be any conflict it would be between your group and Jodan's (when he gets another member, after I've finished getting some more soldiers). So basically I'm trying to find some level playing field between yourself and the other two groups. Can you see where I'm coming from?

Ya, you mean that my leet group may be to superior lol. Ummm Actually i didnt plan my group out to be against other groups lol. My group was designed for infiltration to a base or mass combat/inflitration. I guess you can say we are like the SWAT of your soldiers :P

So, if you go in to missions against other groups. What sort of things would you like to use?

Craxus "ACE" (High Lord of the Magicians Guild "A2510425") Posted Jan 3, 2004
Depending on hte mission. The mobile suits can hit multiply targets (such as fighting a castle, fort, island, places anywhere.) If it was say like 1 place we are fighitng I might have 1 person in a mobile suit and the rest of the team infiltrate the building. Just really think as our mobiles suits as jets. We can get out and do just as well without our mobile suits. You know what i mean lol

Alright, so if you were fighting one on one (without any transport - in your case that would include the mobile suites), what sort of things would you like to fight with, and if you have an image for your base (and bare in mind that there are only 4 in your group) what would you like it to be like?

Craxus "ACE" (High Lord of the Magicians Guild "A2510425") Posted Jan 3, 2004
Hmm....
1v1, Depending on how we fight, it could be standard swat gear like a Mp5 Navy submachine gun. But mostly we will fight with combat knife, silenced 9mm pistol, tranq darts, military goggles (nightvision/infrared/x-ray) and prolly a mp4a1 it can be equipped for silencer it looks like a m16 with a silencer...pretty hot stuff.
My base would be kinda looking like Alcatraz, with a hanger bay for hte mobile suits to be recharged and rearmed. A defense platform x12, 12 places that can be defensive with a dual machine gun platform with rocket launcher sides in bunker. Of course quarters for the team, cafeteria, equipment room, sensor room...you know the works
Key: Complain about this post
