First off, Terri, I am sorry to hear about Himthing's brother. Please offer Himthing my condolences. That's really awful news.

I'm not feeling too badly today. I'm really hoarse and froggy because all of this chest plegm is loosening up and coming out, so my throat's plugged up. I can hardly speak above a whisper. But I'm feeling all right anyway!

Just hanging ut, waiting for K to arrive- we're hanging out tonight and tomorrow instead of Wednesday because his bandmates neede dto reschedule their Monday practice. (This is from the other band, the one I'm seeing Sunday, not the one I saw last weekend.)

I'd best see about something to nibble on right now, I've had only a banana and a boiled egg, so I'm raveous!

Oh, the dear sweet monopoly people will let you pay by a "mandat" at the bank.

But it takes a week to go through, & the letter they send informing you they are going to cut you off makes it plain this will happen within 2 days of the letter being sent (er...weekend anyone?) PLUS for every 2 days you don't pay you get charged 9.25$ per day excess; plus IF you ever want a phone line again, it's 45$ on top of the normal connection fee.

And of course the bank charge you for sending the mandat.....

They are assholes, fullstop. Not constructive I know, but true nonetheless.

As far as Moon goes suckling, it is a security thing. They associate the act of snuggling up and suckling to their mum as a safe and protected feeling. It is not unusual and she should grow out of it (famous last words!) Some kittens even use a particular blanket or toy to suckle on.

As you say, Yoda may get sore nipples as a cats tongue is full of barbs. I would let her do it for a bit longer (as she has just moved home and it will help with the settling in process) then try to distract when you catch her doing it so she forgets what she is doing. Eventually she should start to associate the need for comfort with something else - like getting petted or playing with a favourite toy.

She sounds like a wee sweetie and i am glad Yoda is having fun with her too!

Yes, that's what i've been trying to do, sort of *sgllooch* unlatch, howl of protest from Mooon, sigh of relief from Yoda, throw/dangle something....manic kittie races round!

Yoda did the same when she arrived, i had Harley, who is a grande dame, several kitty litters, Yoda suckled her for ages.

Whatever, they are getting on well, Yoda isn't depressed any more, which was my main worry. So so lucky to find a kittie who is just that little bit older & very together.

So long as it won't do any harm to Yoda, don't want to start hormonal rage stuff!

There was something else I was gonna say but I forgot..ah well....

I was invisible cause I put that message in my own message board, and thus was not flagged on the new users page the ACES use - you probably know that - After a few days I was visited by a non-ACE who'd seen me post somewhere else and greeted me with a couple of ACEy links. When I figured out that I had missed some, and that I was supposed to have been ACEd, I went to the ACEs page and demanded that someone ACE me. I was then ACEd but by a rather unprofessional ACE-in-training who didn't leave the links that are usually included in ACE messages and then proceeded to have this weird flirtation with another ACE in the message board of my PS. Even as a newbie I thought this was probably inappropriate, tho I didn't complain. Now that I've been here a year (today is my 1st Hootooversary) I'd complain, especially on a PMS/PMT day like today. In the end I really did have to do it my self to get ACEd properly. I went to someone elses space and copied a proper ACE message.

Oh dear! As an ACE i ought to be tutting loudly, but i am not really your typical good girl ACE, i never do copy & paste ACE greetings & as you all know i am bloody hopeless at tech stuff, all i do is drag 'em in & welcome them in whatever way seems appropriate to the individual. BUT i do make a proper effort, i have just spent ages tracking down a link to post to a "newbie"....& invited him onto here; it's...*hunts for number, hang on*

I did not know you were an ACE, Terri. My ACE was not very friendly or terribly helpful. I don't think he's an ACE anymore for that matter. I'm sure you ARE friendly and helpful if not technosavvy. Anything else I can complain about?

i don't put "ACE" in my handle 'cos i am a lazy & fairly particular ACE, i just go for folks who seem personally interesting to me, who i feel would get on well with my existing hootoo mates...basically fellow loonies like us!

The ones i DO get round to Aceing tend to stay though!

Oh! no! not 'im again. I will say with all serious honesty, the couple of weeks or so(lost count already) that I've been on hootoo, every ACE I've met has/is been superve and more. In the 80's I was a A.M c/b'er(guess the handle) met many a new friend, this is a 21st century CB, the handles still the same (the idiot behind it is too), but now! the new friends span the world, life is great - just wish the morons would learn...There thats the 10mins serious bit gone

nowt realy, kids at college, one doing I.T so I did a course C&G and Clait, forgot most of it and saved to buy a comp', that was about june-ish. After hunting daft stuff, jokes/joke pictures etc(still am) I found here, liked the look and bought the raz anyway I aint no super computer nerd, it's all trial and error
I did work in the chemical industry, but as coal, Thatcher did us as well - redunancy- my space sez the rest.

Oh! s*** forgot to add, oft for a shower, can't be mucky for Buffalo lodge tonight (see, I want to be a fool)
