The facial hair stuff: i was thinking of maybe like the "trés " look a lot of guys your age seem to be doing here in France, they do away with sideburns, keep a cute little pointy goatee beard, just the middle bit, some guys grow it quite long. Some have a little moustache too, but most don't. It seems to work well with all sorts of hairstyles & face shapes. I imagine it takes a bit of upkeep though!

I agree about the make up, you have nice eyes, a bit of slap would emphasise them. I keep trying to do the "create cheekbones" trick & failing, maybe it's a skill you are born with...

I suspect going down to a goatee would make my face look fatter.
I've had the Spartan, as I call it, for a very long time and am rather attached to it. Other's call it a "chin curtain," apparently, what an astonishingly awful name. "The Donegal" ain't much better.
I've no interest in ever having a moustache. Never.
