I hadn't forgotten.
I also like films. I found a copy of Enemy Mine in a charity shop the other day. That brought a smile out. I love that film. Tis under appreciated in my opinion.
I thought the Hitchikers film was rather mediocre, but I'll be giving it another watch to see if it seems any better on the small screen, before I take it back to the shop to complain that they should have put the (lovably low buget 80's) BBC series in the box.

Listening to The Incredible String Band.
Walking past gardens at night after it has been raining.
Reading poetry written by friends.
Gazing at the mountains.
Having small animals sit on my hand.
Overcoming a fear in order to experience something lovely.
(Thank you for this thread, Azathoth. It's good to be reminded of these things.)

I found a truly ripe peach at the store today. Most of them are picked too green and taste like cardboard, but this one...
Perfect peaches are rare and something to be greatful for.

Melons. Galia melons... I've eaten several over the past few days, especially when itäs been sunny and hot, incredibly refreshing, so juicy and succulant.

I'd hoped to get online to confirm for lunch today as we missed each other yesterday. Without credit I can't text. I'll see if I can find a pay phone...

Yeah, ex has all their records now, but I find the songs keep springing into my head still. When we used to go to concerts, it was Robin, Rose, Licorice and Mike. Malcolm le Maistre joined them a few years after they started. They were

Oh, String Band days!!!!
Actually, they were one of the very few i didn't get to see live, but many very stoned hours spent listening to them & such wonderful album covers.
Does anyone remember the Curved Air picture disc from around that time? I think it was the first one ever maybe?

Ever heard Commander Cody (and his Lost Planet Airmen?)
One of the best concerts I've ever been to. The audience was on their feet for much of it. He had a band of 20 or so and the sound was exactly like his albums. "I'm lost in the ozarks again", and such gems as " i took three bennies and my semi truck won't start".Fun.

OOOOOOOOOOOOoohhhh yes, yes, yes!!!!! Saw them at some dive in Manchester, they were run up to Little Feat & Robert Palmer; my mates were about 9th billing. Superb stuff.
Anyone remember the wonderful album covers of Quicksilver Messenger Service? Lurid fairytale cowboys...
And of course the Dead themselves.

Yes! Yes! Free Trade Hall; me too!
I saw the Dead at Ally Pally, met Jerry G in the car park, he commented on the fact that my boyfriend & him could be taken for twins! The BF was in fact a very talented musician & said "Yeah, no probs man, if you need a night off, i will take over, but i'm not chopping the end of my finger off!"
